I don’t know how you all feel but I miss Matt “MotownMadman”….My New Years resolution is I would like Matt to come back and be involved on the boards…...I don’t want to talk about anything in the past with the exception of….if he needs to mail some wheels or anything else out….. not sure how you all feel about the subject but I would like to welcome Matt to hang out if he has been lurking and not saying anything…I think he brought plenty of laughs and also some knowledge to the board…. What do you guys think????

Bud. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/BelairSucks.gif

If he has enough time and money to lurk he should have enough time and money to ship the wheels that he was paid in full for.

Charley I agree 100% with you....I may not know him as well as others but I thought he was a pretty good guy???
Something went screwy...who knows what???...but to be involved with the car hobby at the level he was and making a living doing so..it makes no sense for him to have acted the way he did without a good reason...anyway it would appear nobody cares one way or the other and Mo didn't surface...next...

Bud.

Wow!!--Ok.----I miss Motown, but I had e-mailed him several times and he never returned an answer---And I ASKED another member if he had tried to contact Motown, and at the time he didn't get an answer----------I know there was a parts/money issue, don't know if that was resolved or if Motown has been in touch with anybody---The way it ended was unfortunate----Maybe the Madman will make a comeback------------------Bud --can't make out that photo??----

Wasn't Motown dealing with some serious health issues?
I know that some folks are very private about that stuff, but does anyone care to share if they know how his health has improved?

budnate

last word was... it possibly was not true about him having Cancer then he up and disappeared and his phone was disconnected and he never answered any e mails....it's anyones guess at this point.....

Yo, that yellow Pontiac convert is the shizzle. Don't step on Snoop's blue suede shooz.

I bought some stuff from a guy on eBay and it didn't show up. Didn't answer e-mails, nothing, and several other buyers were in the same boat as me. Pay Pal finally refunded the money after two months (small hassle) and I left negative feedback. Then, almost a year later I got an e-mail from someone representing the seller. The seller had died suddenly at the time of my auction purchase. The person representing the seller was going back and asking the several other buyers what they had bought, trying to sort out the confusion. I still had copies of the auction on my hard drive and sent them along with condolences. The stuff finally came in the mail several weeks later. That was the only time in almost 400 transactions that I had left negative feedback and even then it wasn't deserved. You just never know.

I had spoken with someone awhile back that had heard from Motown. I think he said something about being out of town with family issues but that he would get Jude his wheels..Never happened though. Not sure how bad things have to get that you can't at least call or email the guy that you took money from. Has Jude heard from him yet ? Jude ?

Can't say that I miss him, I think he was full of BS. Not once did he show proof of his many 'finds'. His best ability was to type a lot of words - yet not say anything of substance. I guess he's in Wisconsin with his biker friends tearing that Yenko Camaro out of that guys yard like he promised http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I have a friend that has known Motown for many years. He told me that he is around and is "laying low". He apparently has had his phone disconnected/changed. Why, he either doesn't know, or isn't telling me if he he does. One can only surmise. My suggestion is to let sleeping dogs lie.
Don't stir him up anymore Marlin!

They don't need us thats what they say
But why do they still look here to play
I can take all they got cause I am able
And I would still like to show "one" where to put his table!

This will be the last of my little poems, it seems that I have made some upset. I just want to say that I enjoy helping park the cars of some of the nicest owners in the hobby.

back to the future
here we go
i may need sutures
i laughed so

on other sites
i could post
i don't like fights
and they are here most

quit i know i said
and i don't know why
i can't get this out of my head
they won't let sleeping dogs lie

if i am as low as they say
a response wouldn't be needed
but i seem to be the topic of the day
the ban's they should have heeded

with this i am having some fun
its too nasty outside for my habbit
or i would get my gun
and go hunt some wabbit

Hello Gentlemen,
No long drawn explainations here, it was best said about me as laying low....good description for being around long enough to get the bottom bunk. In the search for things lost sometimes the fine print in absurd bueuracracy, known to some as laws, will create an unwanted vacation. At least one of you on this board knows exactly what I am referring to. Thanks to those who kept positive thoughts. I apologize for any problems this may have created, namely Jude, PM me the address where you want your wheels.

I tried to tell them you were tied up, I just thought it was in your GF's bedroom.

Jude,
Got your address, the long awaited wheels will be going out this week. As I posted earlier, I do apologize for any inconvienence this may have caused, I was in a position that left me with my hands tied http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif, I had no way to resolve the issue or let you know the situation. In this day and age of questionable business tactics I have no ill will for the pounding that took place here, I would hope though that if I decided to walk away from a lifetime career and hobby (small circle of collectors) for financial gain that I could do better for retirement then $300. Once again, I do apologize and I hope the wheels work out well for you. I also hope that the time slot I lost will end in a positive result, which all indicators at this time seem that the result will be worth the aggrevation I went through. Let me know when your wheels arrive.
Thanks,
Motown http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
