couragement. This kid reminds me of me when I was that age. I hated to see the sun go down. The difference is this kid has an intense interest in muscle cars, especially Camaros and Corvettes. With all that is going on in the world today it is easy to overlook some people close to home that we can easily help.
In the post at chirpthird.com under SSOA and Friends: Back Porch, CamaroSSgal gives some details of tough time this little warrior is having.
His friends are just trying to keep him busy with pictures, cards, etc. to keep his mind occupied before his upcoming third surgery.
I've e-mailed him some pictures of my ZL1, sending him my copy of the April 04 Chvey Rumble with my car in it signed by Lamar Walden and a few other things. When I told Lamar about this yesterday jumped right on it and will send the kid a tee-shirt, hat and some other chev. stuff. Lamar is a good guy.
Next, I'm going to hit up my old buddy Tom Henry....I'm sure he can send a few posters or whatever. Scott Settlemire has already sent him a package.
I wish this were a happier post and if it is inappropriate I'm sure a mod will delete it. I don't know why but I feel like this kid is a future "one of us". I can't imagine what he and his family are going through. No 14 year old boy should have to go through what he has already been through and there is more to come. We can easily help. Thanks.
