American Muscle Car Association, is this club still going? Joined in '02, renewed '03, haven't heard a word for renewal, was due again.
Are any of you members? Looked like their gathering in Kentucky for the Nationals was growing well, is it still happening? By the way my membership # is 932.
Besides, the Supercar Reunion, is the GM Nationals the next best gathering? Thanks, Warren

I thought I read they have dissolved recently,or at least merged with another club.
Here is their website, but looks to be stuck in 2003..

Following their last event in Louisville in '04, Jeff Gaddie, President of the AMCA, was forced to shut things down. Several factors were invovled, including heavy rain during the event in Louisville.
As per events to attend, at least supercar related events, here are some of my suggestions.
Sept.-Supercar Reunion-Collinsville, IL
August-Gibb Memeorial show-Laharpe, IL
July-York US30 show, York, PA
Spring (March) and fall (Nov.) Vettefest in Chicago,

Steve, Rick & Tom:
Thanks, guys. Living out here in California sucks! I've been flying out to the GREAT eastern shows at Bloomington and Carlisle for a few years and want to expand to these other great meets, including those mentioned and the Pure Stock Drags and Factory Stock Drags as well.
We simply just don't have any good events out west! If I thought I could handle the winters, I'd move back in a heartbeat!
I guess our big claim to fame would be the Hot August Nights event in Reno, NV. I'm lucky that it is only a little over an hours drive for me to attend.
Well, hope to see and meet many of the members here in some of the upcoming events. Warren

What we out west need are more shows like the Car Craft Street Machine (or rename it Musclecar) Nationals, more Super Chevy Show events, even if the turnout isn't as large as it is in the midwest or south/southeast. Southern California seems to have some kind of car show/car event just about every weekend throughout the year! What's tough is living in the Seattle area where the weather sucks for seven months straight. Yeah, I could move to California but I'd have to sell my musclecar to make the down on a house... (Insert crying baby icon here.)
