Several neat cars including Motion King Cobra CSX3159 1966 427 car. Joel apparently did some minor tuning, put slicks on the car and ran 10's(? NHRA record). Restored to its original livery with many components of the car left untouched. Breath taking. Also beautifully restored '70 chevelle L78 convert in red.

That was John Oehler's L78, and, it sold for 160 I believe. That was a bargain based on what lesser quality & documented cars were selling for, IMO, of course.

Hey...It looks like I wasn't the only one taking pictures last weekend! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Thanks Jeff for posting the pics..and thanks Mark for taking them.

Mark, weren't there 1 or 2 other auctions going on in the Phoenix area besides Barrett Jackson and Russo Steele?

Bruce-
In addition you had the RM and the Kruse auctions as well. The RM at Biltmore had some nice classics including a Murphy bodied Dusenberg and a Zagato bodied Aston Martin.

I didn't go but it was raining heavy and I suspect it thinned out the crowd.

Mr. T said he went...and there were 10 die hards or so...In nice weather it rocks!

It was pouring when I left BJ on Saturday night...so I didn't bother to go. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My friends and I stopped after we left Russo & Steele Saturday afternoon. There were a lot of cars there but it was very evident that a storm was brewing. Most of the roadster street rods were taking off as we started to walk around. The wind and rain began about 15 minutes after we got there, and things were pretty much breaking up, so we left and went to http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

We got there early before the rain started. I would say that there were approx 500 cars, many for sale.
