The Ebay auction said 58,000 miles. Why is it now 54,000?

I have asked a lot of the Chevy Folks around here including a guy that has a few Pace Cars and he has never heard of this car. If anyone calls on it find out where its at and Ill take a look at it, if its still here in Hawaii. Find out the island its on

GUYS I MADE A DEAL WITH THE OWNER OF THIS CAR -20K THURSDAY NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT-NOT MUCH OF A DEAL- I WAS TO WIRE THE $ TO HIM FRIDAY MORNING- WHEN I CALLED TO GET THE WIRING INSTRUCTIONS HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO SELL IT A MAN WHO TALKED TO HIM ABOUT IT WHEN IT WAS ON EBAY. I LOOKED AT ALOT OF PICTURES OF THIS CAR, IT IS THE REAL DEAL- NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW YOU CAN PAY WHAT SOMEONE IS ASKING AND STILL CANT BUY IT

Well, It looks like you still have an opportunity to purchase a Z-10. This guys "Buy It Now" is $38,000. You may be able to get this car somewhere in the low to mid thirties. Even if you got the car from Hawaii for $20,000, it would certainly cost you $15,000-$20,000 to restore or more. It seems you would be ahead of the game if this Z-10 checks out. It's worth a phone call. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If your heart is set on a Z-10 you would be WAY ahead to buy the restored one off Ebay (if it checks out to be nice) versus the $20K Hawaii project. Unless you can do all the work yourself, you'd likely spend way over $40K to restore the Hawaii car and then have well over $60K into it.

Ask any of the guys on the board about the real cost to have a concours frame-off restoration completed on a car and you might be surprised of the real cost. It's a bunch!

YES IT WOULD BE CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN TO BUY A FINISHED CAR- BUT THE ONLY THING BETTER THAN A 4SP CAR WITH A WINDOW STICKER IS A 4SP BIG BLOCK CAR WITH A WINDOW STICKER. AUTOMATICS SUCKS

I think Rob Clary might have something to say about that!

I don't know about that, A/C makes it very desirable and cool for those hot Oklahoma summers.

Steve you are right on the air. It will get hot in the summer. But for some strange reason I am attacted to unrestored cars with 4 speeds. I saw your green Yenko today, really nice car.

"a bunch" = around $65,000 at a minumum, excluding the cost of the car, to do it correctly with NOS not repro parts. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif
