I'm looking for any info on "Z" Frank Chevrolet Chicago, IL. Any emblems, plate frames, or other items appreciated. Also anyone that knows the history of the dealer or has any contacts from there. Thanks in advance.

The two sons of the Founder Zollie Frank, Chuck and Jim own the dealership, which is still located on Western ave., in Chicago. They were at one point the largest volume Chevy Dealer in the Country. They also had a Chevy dealership called "C" Frank in Highland Park, IL which was formerly "Sunny Day Chevrolet", another dealership which sold many muscle cars and Corvettes.

"Z" Frank Chevrolet sold at least one L88 Vette. Here is a story about it from my 1998 Bloomington Gold Standard program.

Stefano that dealer was actually called Sunniday Chevrolet. Here is a sewing kit that I have from them in my Chi-town area dealer memorabilia collection.

Bob I have not seen one in a while. That is the hard thing about collecting Chi-town area dealer stuff. About 95% of dealers used decals/stickers as opposed to metal emblems so it is VERY hard to find them NOT stuck on a car and in NOS condition.

Bet if you call they could dig one up....

The best contact person for info about the dealership and cars sold from there is, Rich Stratton. He was their top sales person for many years and very involved with Corvettes and other Hi-Po cars. He is now working at Gary Lang Chevrolet in McHenry.
