It is truely refreshing to read such a honest description on ebay for a change. Be sure and read all the q and a. I am tempted to buy it just for the honesty(not really),

His replies are great.
He starts off very diplomatic, then slolwy begins to turn..Poor Pepe. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"Fellers, I'm close to losing it altogether here. I'm running out of words to answer some of the more lame-ass questions in a civil manner.

I have already run out of polite ways of phrasing my gut response to the pilgrims inquiring about this car. This is as nice as I can put it:

RUN NOW!

You do not have enough repair skills or money to fix this car!"

If the above message crushes your self-esteem, then I am talking to you!

Q: Why are you selling the car?

A: Are you kidding? Look at it! If I was born last night I wouldn't have enough years left to restore a car in this condition.

Q: I'LL TRADE YOU A CASE OF BEER FOR IT..
A: I'm not trying to haggle with you, but what brand?

Q: does the clock work?
A: I'm glad you asked. All of the gauges, as well as the clock, work just as good as they look in the photos. You can almost see the second hand moving if you cross your eyes and squint real hard.

This is my favorite Q & A. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

Q: What work does this car need?

A: About $40,000 worth of parts need to be purchased and then installed. I estimate the labor to do this will take one million manhours.

Say, the reserve has been met at $8,100.00. Not bad!

The Seller of this car is Cool,I would like to go have a few beers with a guy like that.I know he could keep you laughung for hours on hours. That has to be one of the most honest SELLERS I have ran across in many years! I think the guy could be a comedian without a lot of effort. It just seems to flow from him.I am still laughing and everytime I think of the things he has said I start all over again. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well honesty must be the best policy.
I have a hard time seeing $8811.11 there.
I hope it doesn't show up at Barrett-Jackson next year as a "original survivor" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
