Yeah, I'm kicking myself now. I saw this car in a dealer showroom in Lancaster about 5-6 years ago and never stopped for a closer look because I knew they didn't make any red Yenko Camaros in 69 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif. I think I had just bought my JL8 from Charley so I didn't have any money at the time so it might not have mattered. I guess I can consider it a lost opportunity to own a Yenko. As Homer would say, DOH!

Beautiful car! Is that torque strap on the driver's side factory for a COPO car or is that an owner add on?

I've got friends/family up in the St.Charles/St.Peters area...and you're just across the river from SCR8! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif So, you gonna have any cars in O'Fallon or just the studio?

Beautiful car but I didn't think you could get a rear mounted antenna with the rear spoiler? Is it dealer or owner installed?
Still a very nice car. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

That car is not very correct, the least of which is the incorrect antenna location.

It might have a bunch of stuff wrong but apparently it still is a real Yenko. You could probably throw 20K at it and have it looking pretty correct and end up with a Lemans Blue 69 Yenko Camaro. Or leave it alone and play with it.

Nice car,and nice presentation, but the CAPS LOCK BUTTON NEEDS TO BE REMOVED. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Man that makes it difficult to read!

So how much does the color change effect the resale price?, and how much of a difference would it make if you make it correct as far as the right parts are concerned?

I HAVE TO BE HONEST I REALLY DO NOT KNOW IF THE TORQUE STRAP IS ORIGINAL FOR A COPO THIS IS THE WAY THE CAR WAS PURCHASED. SAME THING WITH THE ANTENNA. THANKS FOR THE QUESTIONS. JIM

If the buyer plans to do a frame off anyway, the color change is nothin. Otherwise, it's more of a pita thing, explaining why it's red, s/b blue, yada yada... In this market, I don't think it effects it a bit.
Those Redlines look killer next to that paint!

They would look nice next to Lemans Blue too....

Heck, I'd just leave the car red and let people tell you it's not a real Yenko because they never made them in red. Then you could point out that it's on the known list of Yenko VINs.

I can just hear it rumbling through that chambered exhaust!
Unreal

Did any of the early Yenkos come with chambered exhaust?

I think it looks good in red. It is interesting that being a real yenko that people are going to question the red, in your face when they find out it's real. If color changes don't really make a difference in resale and someone does a color change during resto, it would be nice to see an original in black

$135 is a good price for this car considering it's not correct. Wonder what he really wants
