Thanks for posting that Charley. I might try that stuff on the floor of my car. Somewhere in the life of my car somebody gutted the interior and coated the floor inside all the way through to the rear bumper with roofing tar. It's saved some parts of the car from rust, but boy what a mess. Some of it is still sticky. I've wanted to strip it but wasn't sure how to tackle it. This stuff might be the way.

Darren,
Make sure you put a "silver" grill back in that Z of yours, ok? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Oh yeah, grille is not getting changed. It's resting comfortably with the rest of the car in my 3rd bedroom. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif No more kids until the car gets finished. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

New poster here. A couple of winters ago, I stripped off the undercoating from the underside of my 69Z. I used "Aircraft Paint Stripper" from Auto Zone. It was very agressive, but did the trick. You paint it on heavy with a brush, and then scrape off the material after 5-10 mins. In most places, I had to do this 2-3 times to get off all of the undercoating. Once I finished, I used paint thinner to remove all oils, etc off of the finished areas. I'll post before and after pictures later today

I don't remember seeing another like Z, but he may be on the bad (west side, nothing but traffic) side of the river. I'm near Rt 62 & Rt 25.

Mr T, I wish they were T-3's. In fact the pic was taken out of Pete Gerling's old blue 68 Z-28 by the new owner.

I recall seeing an HO 69 Z and a blue 68 Z pull up to Lombard and park in the ATM lot of 5/3 bank. This was last summer. Correct? We usually park in the drive up lot at the bank. I have a Rallye Green 69 Z.

Alan, You can keep all that traffic on "that" side of town. The 1st step is to accept your problem. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
You can see me at Thurs @ CL, Fri @ RM, Weds @ Cary on occasion. Sat's @ Lombard sometimes.
One of the people I hang with has a black Cobra that lives just north of the Golf Club of Illinois.
