Is that the car you are looking for.It did not state if it was a 6 speed or auto,I am not sure if they came with auto trans.Hope that is it.

thanks Bob but no it wasnt, the one im looking to get is a Silver SS with the 35th anniversary wheels.they were only used at the brickyard 400 to parade the drivers around the track.they only made 5 6speed cars and the rest are autos.the one you have seen was a indy pace car Z28. not an ss.but thanks for looking for me.

There are two automatics on Ebay right now. In the $21-26K price range. Both are low miles. The 6Spd will probably be hard to locate. Did not know if you might consider the automatics or not.

thanks mark, but im sure the ones you are referring to are indy pace cars and they are not ss cars but z28 option only.the brickyard cars are ss cars and the option code is z7d.

You might want to check out www.bergerchevy.com (http://www.bergerchevy.com)
Berger STILL has NEW 02 camaros including 2 Phase2 brickyard cars. They have had the stripes removed but are Brickyard cars. Seems in 02' that Indy and Brickyard cars were one in the same just restriped.
They also still have new Hot Rod Camaros and have a great deal on the 1 of 1 Hot Rod truck.

Ron is your car a Phase1 or 2??? My buddy is having trouble with his converter... Mark

69RSZ
05-31-2005, 04:17 PM
its a phase 1 car.i went with the phase 1 because of 2 things,it didnt void the warranty and the car had to go thru NJ state inspection.they are real uh penises over there.im thinking your talking about the trans converter? you didnt say what the problem is.mine is a six speed car.if they put a cam in it that doesnt idle too good they should have put a stall converter in it.only matt knows and im not sure what they do with the automatic cars. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

The stall wasnt hooking up all the time... Matt told us to put the headers back on the car after they had the emission test done... Berger couldnt sell a new car with aftermarket cats on it, so they took the headers and cats off to move the cars... My buddies are having the headers put back on this week so the cars will run right.. We fixed the problem by disconnecting the battery so the computer would reset itself... Thanks for the suggestions, Mark

There was a 02 brickyard 6spd SS vert for sale here in St. Louis for the longest time. I think last summer someone finally bought it and is a member of the Gateway Camaro Club here in St. Louis. The cer even still had the person's name on the hood who it transported on the track during the opening festivities. I think it the name on the hood was something like Steve Cole. Neat car, if I'd have known there were only 5-6 6spd cars at the time this one was for sale I'd have taken a closer look at picking it up http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

I'll keep an eye out for one for you.

Ron I did some checking on the six speed in St. Louis and I found out it was purchased by a mid 20's guy that lives in St. Charles MO.. To this day he still owns the car and I can try to get his number for you if you want to try to pry it from his hands.. Mark
