Bob,

This nicely documented 1969 L89 Corvette roadster is the newest addition to the Donnally garage. It was ordered new by George Gabriel of Ross, OH at Sam Cummins Chev/Buick (now Dan Cummins) in Paris, KY. The car retains its original (born with) engine, transmission and rear end. The exterior is Monza red and has a black vinyl interior. Options include tinted glass, aux hardtop (red), F41 suspension, 4.11 posi, transistor ignition, L89 435hp aluminum head 427, M21 tranny, side mounted exhausts, redline tires, fender louver trim and AM-FM stereo.

This Vette will receive a body off restoration at Coastal Corvettes in Southport, NC. The car is very complete which makes it a great resto candidate. A few of the items needed, that I have already found, include original dated F41 shocks, NOS carbon steel side pipes/mufflers and five NOS Goodyear redline tires. As with my 69 L88, I hope to achieve all the major awards including Bloomington Gold, NCRS Top Flight, PV and Duntov along with a Triple Crown.

Keep up the good work. I enjoy the Yenko site very much.

Regards,

Mark Donnally

Wheel covers are a refreshing change from Rallyes. Nothing wrong with Ralleys.

Dan,
Yes, I am a pilot. Just got back, last night, from a four day trip. Made a few runs to Cancun and got to see a lot of Cuba as we parallel the island enroute to Mexico. Problem is, I speak 'Southern' and Havana Center doesn't. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I currently fly the Boeing 737. I also have a slew of hours in the B-727, B-757, B-767, F28 and F100.
Regards,
Mark
