This guy says in the auction that it is a rare 71 450 HP LS-6 Chevelle with factory air conditioning. He also says it is a factory and correct coded engine. He never says anything about it being a clone. I emailed him telling him there was no such car ever built. Below are the 2 emails I sent and his responses.

My 1st Email:
Very nice looking car but there are a few problems with it. There were no factory built 71 LS-6 Chevelles. The LS-6 was available in the Corvette but not the Chevelle. The horsepower rating for the 1971 LS-6 was 425 not 450. There were NO LS-6 cars built with factory air conditioning.
His Response:
Hello,
Easy there, let's be careful of premature accusations (are you a buyer?). I never stated the car to be all original. Although the LS6 (425hp plus upgrades= 450hp) is original, it is probably not original to the car.
A nonrefundable 8% deposit will shut down the auction. If we can transact a timely sale, I might consider going as low as $36,500 early.
Thanks, Bret

My 2nd Email:
You are correct, you never said the car is original. Here is a quote from the auction: "Listed is a Frame Off Restored, Concourse/Showroom Condition, Very Rare, 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 LS6 450hp Cowl Induction, Automatic. The engine is Factory and Code Correct 454c.i. LS6." You state that the engine is factory and code correct. Since that engine was never available in that car, there in no way it can have the correct codes. Your auction description is very misleading. As I said earlier, it is a beautiful car but I hope the high bidder knows what they are getting.

His response:
quite apparently you are not true buyer, you are an advice giver. Please do not e-mail me again unless you are coming to the table with money.
Thanks,
Bret
