Olympic Gold with Black Bucket Console Interior, original Rosewood Steering Wheel (excellent condition), Smog, AM radio, and Gauge Package. This L78 car has manual steering, with close ratio Muncie transmission and 4.10 gears in the rearend. The car possesses its original block (heads, intake/exhaust manifolds/carb), transmission, and rear axle. Original documentation includes its Protecto Plate, two Build Sheets, Owner’s Manual with all maintenance and repair record stickers (thru 64,100 miles), and receipts. Each oil change is documented. It has 71,000 original documented miles. This SS was delivered to Colussy Chevrolet (still in business) in Bridgeville, PA on 16 June 1969 to Mr. James Fife. James was an aviator who had recently returned from Vietnam when he ordered his car. He went on to a career as a pilot with a major commercial airline. Condition: Paint, Interior, Engine Bay, and Trunk are in very nice shape. Undercarriage is undercoated but very solid. Motor pulls strongly.

Thanks Dan. Man-you have a bevy of 69s! Nice line up. I bought a '67 GTO Marina Turqoise, Black 'vert top, Black interior, 4 speed this week and have to make room for it. I will eventually do a frame off on the Goat, but will drive it in the mean time.

Tough decision-I LOVE 'velles. But, my 1st love was a GTO, and have never owned one til now. Its got lots of character. The original owners had it till this month and are local to me. I have been looking for a project and this should keep me busy. Been collecting Goat resto books - can't wait.

Supercar Kid - When I told my Dad (born in Carnegie, PA) that this car was from Colussy, he told me that he (we) was distantly related to them. This car stayed in Western PA til late 2003. There are witness marks for ladder bars on the rear axle. With the ordered performance goodies I am sure this car trolled the hills of Bridgville, Upper St. Clair, Castle Shannon and the like (Orig. owner lived on Washington Rd w/ zip of 15241).

I looked at this car a few years ago when it was for sale in the local auto trader. I think it was in Mars PA then. Colussy was just a few miles away from Yenko. Colussy has a all Chevrolet show in the summer...BKH

I contacted Colussy to see if they kept any additional records on my car. They were responsive and courteous to my request. Very refreshing. After researching their files unfortunately, no records.

Alright - I got bumped from the 1st page http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif(probably when I offered the free Nova)! Gotta do something drastic. Must make room for my new project. L78 price is reduced to $51K. Check out pictures at:

Hi Sam,
I know this is dredging up old memories, but do you have any pictures of this previous car?
Sounds like it was a real looker.

Thanks Bruce.
Olympic Gold is very very high on the list of colors for my next 69 Chevelle.
This gorgeous 69 only helps that selection.
