Anyone here (From Long Island) have any info on this car? I am sure that it is not the baldwin car he talks about in the ad as it has never been yellow (and it was not bought with any ideas that it might have been a motion car). As far as I can tell by the paint, inner fenders and doors, it looks to have always been hugger orange. The trunk is chock full of speed stickers and the gas tank has some sort of added (welded) capacity tank on it.

It looks to have been a drag car most of its life and I was just wondering if anyone has any history on it. I am about to start a frame on, on it and was wondering if there was any cool history for this guy!

I am going keep this one! (it's why I sold the Monte and the 73 Z28) I have a 69 dated 427/390 (2 bolt main) in the garage that I might drop into it.

Anyways, any info is appreciated!

Hey rich, i was a bidder on that car. The seller was really pumping that car as a motion 454. The car looks good in pics, but seller said it was rough. Is it in the condition expected? Roger

Hi.
Actually, the car is in much better shape than he advertised. Of course, shape is a relative term. The body has no overt rust. There is some bondo here and there, but not a whole heck of a lot. The floorboards were inexpertly replaced, but a good job none the less.
There was a whole trunk full of original goodies and pieces parts. The entire dash cluster is missing as well as the wiring harness. All in all, I was so impressed that I bought my cousin out (we went in 1/2 and 1/2) and am planning on making it a saturday nite cruiser.

The underside of the trunk lid is really cool with all of the era peformance parts stickers (remember the "highjacker" rabbit ?)

When we asked him about the paperwork from Mr. Rosen, all we got was a grunt and "All I got for my lousy $1,500.00 was a phone call from Joel saying it could be, or not"
In fact, I believe that it could have been what sent him "over the edge" and then he decided to sell?

In any case, this is one of the few times that the car was better than the description.
