<font color="red"> I think we can all agree, within the last few days, the supercar hobby, at least the Internet portion of it, has not been a lot of fun. Bashing, name-calling, criticizing other’s cars, etc, the negativity has reached epidemic proportions, and in my opinion, threatens the very existence of our hobby. This is not to cast blame nor step on toes, as many are to blame, including myself, but rather make this serve as a wake up call. I know that there are several very knowledgeable, interesting individuals out there, who, because of all of the negativity, rarely, if ever, post. This is a great loss to all of us.
I cannot, nor will I attempt, to tell anyone how to run their website, but, hopefully I can still influence the ways things are done on this site. So here is what I would like to see from ALL who frequent this site.
Try to make every post up beat, positive, something that adds to the discussion, not distracts from it. That is not to say there cannot, and will not be disagreements, but surely adults can debate things in a mature manner. If not, that is why we have moderators. Kind of like the old saying “if you do not have anything good to say, do not say it”.
Anytime something negative is posted on another site, leave it there, and let it go. If ignored, it will fade away. If the post is about you, turn the other cheek. You will be a better person for it.
Remember that everyone is proud of his or her car(s), regardless of the value, rarity and historical significance. Do not be jealous of each other, but rather share in their joy. Yes, the sYc is primarily about the supercars, but all muslcecar enthusiasts are welcome.
In closing, I am starting what I hope is a new beginning, thus have deleted a couple of recent threads that I felt were strictly negative in nature.

TIME TO GET BACK TO HAVING FUN!!!

I want to thank the people that allowed me to join this forum. I have followed it for some time and have found it to be a positve and very informative site. I hope that it continues in that way. I know Im new here, but want to say what Tom has posted above is so important as I witnessed another forum destroyed by those that engage in malicious and back biting posting. He is so right when he says "If ignored, it will fade away. If the post is about you, turn the other cheek. You will be a better person for it." If that is done the BAD GUYS will soon tire and go on to other forms of making trouble. Again thanks to all that make this site what it is

I was in one of the first 7 or 8 hundred members on at nastyZ28.com. Back then we were all one big happy family just like it has been here. But as we grew and added thousands and thousands of members you saw it change. It is still a great, great site but not the close nit family it once was. I see the same thing happening here. It's a shame.
All I can suggest is lay down the rules and stick to them.
I love this site and a lot of the reason is because of the close nit all in the family atmosphere. Don't let that change.

I came to this Site a few months ago attempting to gain knowledge on COPO Camaro's. I got more information than I ever expected in a quick amount of time. I also developed something I did not expect or see coming. Some Online Friends and a Respect for Chevrolet Enthusiasts and the struggles they must go through. I have definitely expanded my horizons here and for that I am thankful! all Forums Go through Growing Pains. sometimes people say things without thinking it through, they just respond with anger. (I have done this as well) I also believe some topics should be discussed via "PM". if you feel so strongly about something that can create controversy, discuss it with the individual, not the entire board.

Thanks Tom, for saying what all the ENTHUSIASTS among us feel. Most of us just want to have fun and experience the joy of associating with others who have similar interests. Well-done!
