I have a friend who is looking to sell his 1969 SS396 Chevelle L-78. It has the original motor(396,JD code), trans 4 speed(M-20), rear (12 bolt,410). It is currently rally green with black interior. The odemeter reads 27637.It has power steering and power disc brakes. The trim tag reads ST 69-13637 BF 17505,TR 756 B80,O3A 872845 420543.The motor is just sitting in the car as is the trans. He was running a different motor so he would not damage the original block. The interior is original and in good shape. The car was damage in a tornado..it was hit in the rear quarter ,hood and the roof. The worst is the quarter but would be repaired with a new quarter. The hood has a few small dents and so does the roof.It also need a new windshied. He is asking $15,500. for it or he would consider a Chevy trade, He prefers 1969 Camaro's. He will consider others. If you would like more info. or photo's please e-mail me.
Thanks Doug

Doug,
What is the paint code on the trim tag? Any documentation with the car such as a buildsheet, invoice, POP, etc.? Where is the car located? How 'bout a few pictures?
Thanks,
Sam

I just looked at the trim tag again and it apears to be a -. He said that the rally green was the original color???
Thanks Doug
Rallye Green would have to have been a Special order color on the 69 Chevelle.
That trim tag symbol sounds correct.
That looks like a Fremont Calif. build.
I would be interested in pix as well.
Can you shoot us the VIN# too?
