I'd like to see the evidence of the Motion emblems on the fenders, (which were stuck on with 2 sided tape not pinned) or SOMETHING that looks untouched that would have been done at Motion...It may just be a bunch of "Motion-esque" speed parts piled around a rusty chevelle to get people scratching their heads wondering, or it could be a legit car... What sux is without any paperwork or proof, it really doesn't make much difference, as you'd never be 100% sure. A build sheet from Baldwin, or even some vintage poloroids from a past owner would go a long way... right now its just a rusty hulk, a hone-o-drive, and about 100.00 worth of other crusty speed parts you could find on ebay in about a hour's worth of searching...
It DOES make ya wonder though.... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif
This is one of those cars you wish you could crawl around and scrutinize in person, instead of looking at a few photos on the 'net. At least you won't get filthy or stung by any wasps looking at it online... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I emailed the guy for more pics so we'll see http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
All Good points Joe.
I too emailed the seller for more specifcs, especially releasing the rearend suffix code that could identify it as a true LS-5 or LS-6,if it's original to this Chevelle.
Who do we have in Tuscon... http://pages.britishlibrary.net/patgardiner/images/0p3fucmw%5B1%5D.gif

Yes...that's true. Tucson is about one hour away...if I drive really fast. I'm no expert on Chevelles, though...Heck, I just got mine not too long ago...
Hmmmm...who else lives here and knows Chevelles....Sam...are you reading this? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
$25K gamble on a rusted Chevelle with no paperwork that Joel can't document. Sounds like the odds are better in Vegas on the tables. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I am here also and have owned a couple of chevelles but not the expert.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif .. grew up in tucson, there used to be some really fast cars down there.. a nickey and some copos at the local speed shops and one of the mechanics the family knew had a gold copo that really rocked. too much horsepower for our chasis dyno back then.. I don't remember details except they couldn't keep traction on the drums with the cheater slicks on it but remember all the mechanics talking about it when I was a kid.

I GUESS HE WANTS TO KEEP IT. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif NO DOCS=NO MONEY! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif
Looks like it has dual fuel lines, so not an LS-6 or an L-78 car originally which IMO lessens the chance it was a BM car. Also, not sure why he mentions the Flint build as pointing to authenticity. I would think a Baltimore built car would have been more likely to be sold out of NY. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Regardless of what it ever once was,by raising the price by $50,000.00 more near the end of the auction like that,he just made up my mind for me.

Sorry http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif missed yr summons Bruce (pls, next time just use the bowtie-icon-light-beam-in-the-southeast-valley-sky). As a matter of fact I will be traveling to Fort Huachuca (southeast of Tucson) next Wednesday on business. I have a busy sked. while there but can attempt to break away. Would like a BM expert to provide me with laundry list of tell tale signs to look for.
