First of all let me clearly state that I have nothing to do with these auctions.

Check out the following auctions. Pay attention to the buildsheets, IMO the buildsheet is the same for both auctions. Both buildsheets have a similar tear, a large C and an 88 greasepenciled on them. The buildsheets have a particular brown splotchy pattern similar to buildsheets I have seen recently on E-Bay if you know what I mean. When I enlarge the Buildsheet picture it becomes too blurry, perhaps one of the members who is talented with photoshop can post them side by side for comparison purposes. Both cars also come with a signed letter from "previous" owners "authenticating" they are the real deal. The seller's E-Bay Feedback score is well under 100% Caveat Emptor. I don't see anything particularly wrong..other than he put pics of the LS6 info on the L78 ad. I think he just downloaded his pics wrong. Maybe I'm missing something??

It's the same buildsheet and .jpg for both ads. May be a mistake. How convenient to have the owners sign for proof. And low mileage to boot. I smell fish.

Personally I think the L-78 is legit, I know nothing about the LS-6, I think the L-78 was sold recently, a friend was trying to buy it, if it is the car we think it is. The buildsheet pictures could be a simple mixup. I would want to see a readable picture of the BS to make a call on it being genuine or not, I can't tell from the blurry picture on the site.

LS6 car found a buyer very quickly at $45K http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

He has his pictures mixed up. The letter from the 69 L78 original owner is pictured in the LS6 auction, and vice versa. Looks like the build sheet picture in the LS6 auction is from the Framingham MA plant, which is where the 69 L78 car was built.

It appears that the seller is Dr. Sam Terbeek (sp?) from Galesburg IL. He has been a Chevelle collector for many years. I know there are others on this board who have spoken highly of him in the past.

Yes...You are correct.
Mark sold it in February of this year, and later it was featured here in the members rides section.
Doc bought it,and is selling it now.
