Turns out that Johnny Lightning is doing a diecast of my SuperSnake. There will be a limited run of them for Hot August Nights in a 777 theme or something. There will even be a POG. I found out doing a google search so I know nothing else about it. http://www.yenko.net/attachments/145538-hanCardFront_2005.jpg

A few years back, they did our Yenko Camaro, promising to send Rob a couple of cases of cars. We ended up buying some off of Ebay, as the ones thye promised have yet to arrive.

Tom, have you tried calling them to find out why you have not received yours. I have been doing cars for another company, Lane Collectables (Exact Detail) for about 2 years and Eric has more than followed through with his promisses. I have received more than 5 prototypes so far and 2 of each color that has been released. They have been great to work with.

What the legality's of this?, Charlie i gather your not getting anything from this?. Can they use your car's image without your permission?. Just curious

I have no idea. The pic is probably from a magazine and there was probably a waiver signed at the time. The magazines then sell the images.

That's how ours worked...they took the images at the Martin race for a mag article, I signed the waiver from that, and JL took it from there...right before they were released in stores, I got a package from JL, my boys ripped open the cars, and had a yellow Yenko Camaro demo derby... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Actuall it was the 70's I seemed to miss...but I do remember the milk stoppers Ole Timer...the had the little tab you had to pull up and I could never open them because I bit my nails http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

I talked to the guy today that is selling them. He is doing 5000 thru Johnny Lightning and will have them all sold during Hot August Nights. 777 of the 5000 will have changes made to them to make more collectable I guess. I emailed him a blown up pick of his packaging hanging off the real car.

Just realized I took a picture of the wrong die-cast...it never dawned on me until I saw the incorrect engine compartment pieces in the previous picture...so, I dug up the correct "Rob Clary action figure", complete with a trading card of a photo taken at US131 in Martin, Michigan...
