This is the car that changed my life. The car was repainted in 1992 and the owner’s wife used this car as a daily driver for 6 years before I purchased it from them. The paint was faded, a few road chips, engine was a disgrace, and the underneath of the car was pretty dirty. I was told about this car by some friends that went to a swap meet and seen it out there in the lot for sale, so I asked them if they got a number on the car and they said no. Damm I was pissed, so I went to work the next day and was telling my co-worker the story and he started to laugh at me and said he knew the guy, well two days later I went to see this gem. When he opened the garage it was not what I intended it would look like. It was Frost Green "Grandma Green" as I like to call it, well it took me an hour to look the car over and convince myself it was only a color and I could paint it if I didn't like it. Well I mentioned to the owner that if I bought the car I would change the color and his face turned ugly and he told me that this was the original color of the car and if I wanted to change the color he would not sell it to me. Kind of shocked I told him that I didn't care for the color but maybe it will grow on me, well it did, so I bought the car and took it home to clean it up. It took about two months for me to get the car back to show condition and the first show I took it to I received a 2nd place which surprised the hell out of me. The interior is original, the motor and trans were re-built in 1990, and the paint is still the old paint from 1992 after 20 coats of wax and a buffer. When the previous owner seen the car after it was done he was happy I didn't change the color plus he offered to buy the car back, I told him that car will never be for sale at no price. Today my wife and I drive this car everywhere, the store, out of town or where ever we want to go. When Darren gets his car back together we planned on driving it up to Chicago for the weekend to hang out with you guys up there. Well enjoy the pictures and I hope to have a few more of my other cars when I get them finished.. Mark

[/ QUOTE ]You could call me MarkL48 but I do have two BB cars, the first BB car I bought is a numbers matching L35 but its in poor condition and is in line for a resto soon... Thanks for all the kind words so far, that excludes Dan. Dan my wife loves this car considering hers isn't done yet so this one is faster... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif Mark

Hey Mark, now that I can see the pictures...your car is way cool http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif! I like that it's a driver...and I really like the Frost Green color...back in 1979 I had a chance to buy a 1969 RS/SS 396 Camaro this same color...but it was a bit out of my price range...it was $2800 http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif.

Nice car! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
