Just thought I'd post this for anyone who might be looking for a clean driver Nova. It's for sale by a local dealer but will be going on ebay soon. Obviously it's not a 100% "factory correct" restoration, but it is a clean ride. A super nice driver or local show car.

The story goes that the car was purchased at Bay Chevrolet by a returning Vietnam serviceman who fell ill and later passed away from complications caused by his exposure to the chemical "agent orange."

The car was then sold to it's second owner who drag raced the car locally and installed a set of 4.88 rear end gears, a Sun tach and some SW underdash gauges. With 4.88 gears it wasn't long until the original 350/300 was scattered at the track. The car then sat until the 3rd owner purchased it and restored it using an LT-1 spec 350 as a replacement for the discarded original block, replacing the 4.88's with the original gearset (3.55s?) that had been saved.

Again, not sure of casting #'s or anything like that, just that it's a clean appearing solid SS car w/ NOM. The seller Jim Jr. is a straight shooter, and will answer honest questions with honest answers. Again, not my ride, and I'm not saying it's perfect. Just a cleaner than average 4-speed Nova that's up for grabs if anyone's looking.

Hey Erik, That is a real nice car matching or not! A little day-2 in there which makes it admit to its past. Of course I like the color. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
