To be brief...We had ANOTHER death occur in my family. My mom passed away a month ago (thanks to those who sent condolences..though I didn't make it public).

This morning at 3:30am, my Brother in law, Rod passed away. He had a major stroke about 8 months ago...and never fully recovered. His having diabetes didn't help the situation, either. He was 56.

Rod was a great brother in law...he was the one to talk to my wife and I about the situation with my daughter when she was critically ill...whether to put her on a Do Not Resusitate list...he was there for us through all of the rough times! I was able to visit him in his hospital room when we went out for my moms memorial service.

Rod was a car guy, too! When my sister first married him, he had a really cool blue 1968 SS 396 Chevelle with a 4 speed and vinyl top. Before they were married...he raced a supercharged Corvette at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Ca.

Sorry for the downer message but I thought since he was a car guy...you'd like to know. Too bad that he never got a ride in my Chevelle...he would have loved it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

He was a "big" guy but was a softy at heart. Rest in peace, Rod!

Thanks for all the kind words. My biggest concern was for my daughter...and how close she was to her Uncle Rod...and how she was going to take his passing away. I firmly believe that we'll all meet again when the time comes.

Thanks to Jeff for his guidance...I really appreciate it.

You guys are too cool. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
