It drives pretty nice for a big car, same platform as the Magnum and Chrysler 300. Bob, you want to get the SRT8, 6.1 liter 425 hp hemi..

-------I think Boyd Coddington has yet to figure out that there is a huge backbone of people that intensley dislike him. They are called X-shareholders and they will probably take thier hatred of him to the grave...........Bill S

I bought a 2005 Magnum RT (little Hemi) six months ago. Runs 14.1 @ 100MPH bone stock. Not bad for a 4200 pound station wagon. My local track allowed me to make a couple of passes with passengers. Loaded up all my gear, my son in the back seat and my wife riding shotgun. Car ran 14.5 at 97 MPH. I pulled up to the timing shack, buzzed down the power window to get my timeslip and said "Excuse me son, but I was taking the family out for a drive and we seem to have taken a wrong turn. Can you tell me how to get back to the highway?

An SRT8 Magnum has run 12.99 at 108 at Englishtown right off the showroom floor. That's the one to get, a lot of car for the money.

I also have a 2005 Magnum RT, but with AWD. Are they planning on releasing an SRT8 version for 2006? I saw the concept Magnum SRT8 car at Barrett-Jackson but I haven't heard of other models besides the Charger getting the big Hemi officially for 2006.

I believe all the SRT8 Magnums are 06 models as production is all post April, the cutoff for 05 model year. They are being delivered now to dealers with enough volume to receive allocation.

Watch your AWD carefully, any kind of binding or grinding noise from the transfer case and you should head to the dealer and start bitching. Production of AWD Magnums has been cancelled for the next two months(minimum) because of "engineering issues". Apparently transfer case failures have become a problem and they will not build any more until they know the cause and have a fix.
