WOW!!! Given today's market, I'd be surprised if it didn't exceed $10k. And to think I complain about fixing a few pinholes in the window ledge of my projects....

Bummer. Is that car rally green. Look at the splotch of green near the dash and a-pillar. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

It's so sad when you see all those pine needles sitting on a car. That stuff is like "ice picks dipped in acid." They just eat through anywhere they accumulate. That is one of the reasons you never see any other plants under or around a wild pine tree: they are killed off by the pine needles and the soil chemistry change.

The car has been parked since 1984 without a cover of any kind http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif--I'm surprised he had enough energy to drag his fat A$$ -over to that pile of mulch to snap a photo---A little common sense is all that was needed here--Just presses my buttons when I see crap like that-------8---9---10 :---Better http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Darren... the write up says its a Yellow/Black car.

What a shame. How much do you guys think a resto on this car would be? over $75K?

Looks like a flat hood, no spoiler, RS/Z28. All the Z28's today seem to be cowl hood spoiler cars. That's a shame, it would be a sweet car in it's original form. But what the heck "my dad has an awesome set of tools, I can fix it!" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Not much different than the guy flushing a hundred dollar bill down the toilet every single day from the day he parked it http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif What a friggin shame...

""The carb is not shown, but I do have it with the correct numbers and date code ( it needs a front bowl ). The motor spends over easy and the trans also."
He acts like if you throw a new bowl on the carb and hook it up this thing is going to fire right up and cruise down the road... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Got an Idea here...How about we get 10 or so members of this site (Yenko.Net) and pick this car up. We each flip 5 grand or so and get it restored. Maybe get a magazine involved and document it. Then bring it to the SCR shows. We could also do others like it. Be pretty cool if we could save some nice cars, wouldnt cost that much per person and we would eventually create a known collection worth a few bucks..Anyone interested in this? I would be in...

I like that idea but I would like to work on it. Not sure how we would handle that.

I'll restore half the car and you restore the other half Darren. Yeah... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Usually if they were "just parked" it's because they were blown up, or had other serious issues. It's saveable, but it would be extensive, and expensive. Better buy more wire for the welder Darrin. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
