View Full Version : 69 Z28 with crossram

Very nice 69 Z28. Frame off restored about 18 years ago to the highest standard back then. There are some incorrect items like alt, dist and exhaust manifolds that are wrong but at the time not many people knew what was correct. Orig engine trans and rear, protecto plate and orig owner contact info. The car has hardly had any miles in the last 18 years. Car is Garnet red with red standard interior. Paint is lacquer, has probably not been buffed in 18 years. It shows some flaws where the 1/4's are leaded at the sail panels but it is still a better restored car than 90% of the cars out there. Has 4 orig tires that from a discussion on this site we figure were made in about 72. Endura bumper, tach and center fuel guage. Early car with early 69 wood wheel that has the rosewood offset but is walnut. I added a GM crossram and it runs good. The manifold carbs and most small parts are orig but the narrow base air cleaner is a repo. The cowl induction is still on the car and the single 4 bbl parts I removed come with the car. Intake, DZ carb etc. This is a real Z28 with the orig engine, trans, protecto plate. Price is 75K.. Email [email protected] http://www.yenko.net/attachments/149639-12-11-04002.jpg

Jay Nixon did the resto. He is "Details". He has supplied many of the repop stickers, bolt kits etc for most of the dealers for years. I called him awhile back and told him I wanted warranty.....Yes Mark, you can have it.....for a fee...

I don't think Jay has a web site. He mainly sells wholesale to dealers.

would be nice to get one of our paint shop specialist to end this thread with a cow designed (painted) Z-28, methane powered, sitting in a field with it's mud pie ply tires. And possibly a couple close up shots of the COW tag to verify if it's bull or Elise authentic.

What do you call a cow that had an abortion?

Decalfinated

What do you call a cow with no front legs?

Lean Beef

What do you call a cow with no legs at all?

Ground beef

and this one is always good...

TRADITIONAL CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire on the income.

AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the band, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. Sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States, leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release. The public buys your bull.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. You are surprised when the cow drops dead.

FRENCH CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You go on strike because you want three cows.

JAPANESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. You then create clever cow cartoon images called Cowikimon and market them worldwide.

A GERMAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You reengineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows, but you don't know where they are... You break for lunch.

A RUSSIAN CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You count them and learn you have five cows.
You count them again and learn you have 42 cows.
You count them again and learn you have 12 cows.
You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka.

A SWISS CORPORATION
You have 5000 cows, none of which belong to you. You charge others for storing them.

CHINESE CORPORATION
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim full employment, high bovine productivity, and arrest the newsman who reported the numbers.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
You have two cows... both are mad.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
You have two cows... and the one on the left is kinda cute...

Oh well,I kept asking myself why am I not jumping on this car now. Because I think it was a great value for the price. But I did not want to sell the camaro I have and it was not worth the price of another divorce if I add a third car. So belive it or not this is good news.

I really just started looking.
Sold my Yellow 69 Z - 3 weeks ago.
My own fault...I need to keep a quicker eye out.

Looking for something with documentation.
Either a 69 BB Pace Car, or a Z/28. 67 68 or 69
I am looking for something very special. (a real keeper)

I guess I just don't act fast enough http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Had a guy last week, change his mind about selling his 69 Pacecar.
His wife got mad, when she found out I was flying out to look at "her Car".

Then last Friday, one of the guys here told me about Charleys Z.
That was the first I knew about it.

The old story still goes: "you snooze, you loose" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
