From the info I got there was around 200+ cars in Macomb with pretty much all the specialty cars being there. Monmouth had around 900 . I believe Mayor Brown told me 500 at the Gibb show. Very nice show in LaHarpe this year. Mrs. Gibb was as pretty as ever.

No, I forgot to take it along. It wouldn't have mattered much anyway as I'd have to send the film to Bulgaria to get developed. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/BelairSucks.gif

Andy,

Where were you? We got there around 6 PM and were sitting between "Lil Hoss" and "Fonzie". Wish you had stopped by.

I have a few pix too, but we're having ISP problems at home and I forgot to bring the interface cable to work today to pull the images from the camera. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Maybe Tuesday, OK?

Yeah, I'm just waiting 'til she realizes just what she's gotten herself into! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

We spent Saturday afternoon in the company of Howie, and she's STILL with me this morning! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

Maybe having Kenny Brown, Jerry Burford, Bob Lionberger, Don Stowers, Ray Morrison, Barnhart, Nelson and Schonye around helped counter the ill effects of Mr. Howie!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif Thanks Guys!!!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif (Oh NO; did I say Barnhart???? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif)

Not only all three years but all three models! Does not get much better than this and then throw in the fact that they are three of the nicest original owners you will ever meet. Unfortunately, if not for her untimely death, they could have added yet another model to the lineup.

Hats off to Kenny Brown and crew for a VERY profession job done on the show. A very fun event for sure. Got to finally put some names with some faces, made new friends and drank with the old ones. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Too true Rick. Evelyn Parrish and her '65 Super Sport would have made the picture even sweeter.

"This could possibly be one of the finest original unrestored cars in the country. This gem is owned by Evelyn Parrish, its original owner. Evelyn was none other than Fred Gibb's personal secretary. Too bad warranties are time dependent because if mileage were the only stipulation, I think this car would be covered."

Thank you for the wonderful pics Tom!

Once again Mayor Brown, Jerry, Bob and ALL of your volunteers out did themselves!!!!!!! The welcome, organization, and cooperation were fantastic! For those who have not had the chance to attend one of the Gibb shows, give it some serious thought next year, these guys really know what they are doing and the visit is more than worth while. Not only do they make sure each and every entrant is taken care of, they attract some of the very best cars and people in the hobby. It was more than an honor to join the group of organizers and participates.

Many, many thanks to one and all involved. It was a fantastic day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, all of the volunteers connected with the Gibb show are to be commended for another job well done. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

And you never know who you will bump into there. I had lunch with a fellow (wish I could remember his name) who worked in the shop at the Gibb dealership. Was very interesting to hear about 427 engine swaps, the vast array of speed parts on hand, test drives, etc.

Of course all of the regulars were on hand, Helen, Nancy, Jerry and Herb.

And one of the highlights of the show for me was spending time visiting with Lee Hamilton, who was shop foreman at the Kansas City Dick Harrell Performance Center in '70-'71. It was neat hear more of the history surrounding both Dick Harrell and Fred Gibb.

BTW, many of these fine folks, as well as a lot of the cars, will be at SCR8. Some even drag racing. I know Ken Barnhart has a fresh "Yenko" engine in his ZL-1 Camaro.

One regret that I had was that the truck was not parked near the tent along with Ken's car. This would have made for a really neat conversation piece especially with all the era photos. When was the last time we have seen the original hauler and race car still in the hands of the original owner? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif By the way Ken, did you get that grease stain out of your jeans. The wife was NOT too happy with you!

I looked for you at both Macomb and at LaHarpe and didnt see you at either place. I got to Macomb around 630. Guess we both were just in different places at different times.
Thanks for all the added pics. I have a bunch more if I can find a place to host them.
I still cant get over the way the 02 ZL1 Cars sound. They just sound like pure power. I can only imagine what its like to ride in one.

Andy

PS, I added another pic.
