After a two year wait my Typhoon was sold and now I'm on the prowl http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm looking for a nice numbers matching LT-1. Good driver quality or better. Documentation a plus. All leads are greatly appreciated. If it's on ebay I've seen it.

Gary,
I saw this one at Pavillions this past Saturday...would you like me to inquire to see if it's for sale?

Wow, that's purdy Bruce! I had a yellow 70 LT-1 years ago. This time I'm thinking red, white or blue though. I'm not being patriotic, those are just my favorite colors. Let me know if any others show up there. From the pics that I've seen it's a big cruise! My old 92 Typhoon has been there this summer. The guy that bought it flew in to Pittsburgh from Phoenix and drove it home. It's a red/gray. Say hi to it for me if you see it there.

Hey Bruce...since Gary is passing, would you mind asking for me? I would be interested if it is a 1970 only...Thanks, Mark http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I'm guessing it's a 72. Sunflower yellow was a 71-72 color and the parking lights look amber if you import the pic into an editor and crank up the brightness.

I'm just glad we have some knowledgeable people here that can check things over for us. Long distance buying can be a bummer. If anyone here ever needs a C2 or C3 checked over in the Pittsburgh area let me know. I've seen just about everything anybody can do to mess one up and poorly fix it. I know what to look for. I'm not up on decoding but that info is readily available.

That is good to know! As i am considering letting 1 of my cudas go and would like to try a vette...... preferably an LT1 vert manual, documentation a must.
Having car guys in all corners of the country has been helpful to me before http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I guess I should stop by this forum more often than I have been... I might have been able to help you out.
I sold my 1970 LT-1 coupe recently (it's still here at the house, but leaving Sunday). Absolutely beautiful restored car... Tank sticker, ownership history. Not many options in addition to the engine (AM/FM radio, white letter tires, close ratio four speed, and alarm), but then very few 1970 LT-1s were delivered "loaded". Donnybrook green with light saddle vinyl interior.
LT-1 Corvettes have finally taken a nice jump in price recently... Expect to pay $60,000 or better for an outstanding coupe and $70,000 or more for a convertible.
Good luck!

Stan Falenski

That sounds like a nice car Stan. Where did it end up going? I'll probably be taking another journey this weekend to look at one. We'll see how it goes.

Gary,
Yes, it is a very nice car... Lots of original parts. The car is heading to New Jersey this weekend.
Good luck in your search... Nice LT-1s are tough to find.

is the " survivor" ebay orange car going to NJ?
It still seems to be 4 sale on ebay.
Maybe i am confused.
Wish that was a 70 vert http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif
though this will run good on 93 gas http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Johnny, it's a different car. Stan's is a 70 and it is sold. I decided to keep my search confined to within a 8-10 hour drive of home so I'm not considering the one in CO. It looks nice in the pics though.

This car (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4580075276&rd=1&sspage name=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) is now listed with no reserve. I looked at the pics on the web site that is mentioned in the auction and the engine compartment has been restored. Very nicely I might add!
I mentioned in this thread (http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/161437/an/0/page/0#161437) that I found a car. It should be making it's way home some time between this afternoon and Friday http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It really does not state that in the auction but take a look at all the pics listed on the web link in the auction. I would think at 70K miles there would be a lot more dirt. Here is a pic of the intake. It looks like it's freshly glass beaded.
