Wanted to buy Forged-steel tuftrided crankshaft
(part # 3882842) for 1969 375hp/396 L-78 Camaro
Unlike the "6223"crank the "2842" is factory cross-drilled.
Please email at [email protected] Thanks.

The 6223 cranks represent a pretty amazing value, as Chevrolet recently dumped their remaining inventory and they are all over the aftermarket, and CHEAP! The nitrited versions are out there as well as non-nitrited. The only 'problem' I've had with these cranks are that these current versions appear to have been designed for use in truck engines, and were balanced at the factory for the heavier truck rods; making balancing for the lighter 'dot' rods almost mandatory. My balancing guy said that without balancing, my engine probably wouldn't have made it past 4K RPM before self-destructing. Other than that, he was impressed with the quality and prep of the crank.

Good luck, BCD.
