This car is back for sale. It seems that the seller met with Mr.Joel Rosen and recieved a documentation letter.

Uh-oh, he posted a photo of Joel Rosen's authentication letter. I wonder how long it'll take for the crooks to start faking these?

You could always pay Joel an additional 1500.00 to verify his verification letter. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Funny how it works. You pay $1,500.00 to verify that the paperwork you already have that verifies the car was modified by Motion is real. In a case like this when you already have Motion invoices to verify the car would the letter really add value to the car.

What motor would have been delivered from the factory with this car (I can't make out the BS)? Would the motor have been tweaked or replaced by Motion?

Thanks,

I thought this car was modified by Motion some time in the late 70s. How much would that add to the value of a 71 Chevelle SS? Any guesses as to what the reserve is?

He was asking $165,000 when the car first hit the market. I don't know if the price went up after getting the documentation. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I had the buildsheet in my hands along with the other docs. Its an original LS5 car and all the motion stuff was done in the late 80's and it was not sold at baldwin. Those docs were with it at atlantic city when i seen the car. Don't know if its worth 160k because the conversion was so late but it was worth the 55k the guy wanted for it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gifAlmost got it from him and then it hit the block and sold in the upper 80's.It runs pretty stout!

The dealership, tntgotcars.com, said they had scheduled and arranged time to meet Joel in Florida.

It really needs a frame off though. The car is tired. Half base/clear half lacquer. Tough call for $165,000

I didnt really think it was that bad. The owner that i talked to said he took off the L88 hood that motion put on and bought the hood you see and had it matched to the car. [Horrible job] they also painted the tops of the fenders and somewhere else but i cant remember. I would take it off and try matching it again myself! He said he sold the l88 hood some years back http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif What a shame.
