John,

------I notice that it says to call a "John" with a Cape Cod number, but you have a Va. address. Assume not the same "John". That car is sitting at what used to be Hyannis Restorations. Spent many hours, and have many friends on that street when I lived one town over in Osterville. I havent been back since we moved in 1996 but heard H.R. went out of business. Dont know who has the property now. Maybe someone from the area can enlighten us. That car wasnt around back when I was on the street as I would have known. There was a dark green unrestored COPO Chevelle a bit up the hill that a guy named Dennis owned. Dont know what the disposition of that car is. I believe it might have had the original engine (apart) with it but it needed resto. Good memories!.......Bill S

That is how the COPO orders worked. The Chevelle was put through as a L-78 then the COPO 9562 superceeded the L78 engine and replaced it with the L72 and the other related components. Also you will see that it is a COPO 9737 as well.. Sports Car Conversion.

Car had what appears to be correct master cyl. in magazine article, but lost it somewhere along the line http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif . Nice car w/ super docs, but not sure she is a "strong # 2".

Let's see what happens during the final few minutes of the auction. No doubt plenty of guys are watching this one. Of course, it might have a sky-high/unattainable "eBay only" reserve too.

Stuff like that rarely sells on E Bay...maybe after the auction..remember what a great tool for marketing E Bay is !!

I would agree with Belair, most of the high dollar stuff sells offline following the auction or in the middle of it.
