No pix of th POP http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif But otherwise an interesting car. Haven't seen many "camaro gold" Z's around. RS front end looks nice.

Hopefully the seller will throw in the correct steering wheel and horn assembly.

Car met reserve and "sold" at $22,600. Opinions on price if POP and drivetrain are original? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Hello everyone! I have enjoyed reading your messages!! The car discussed here was mine, and although I am not educated about second generation Camaros, I have over the years owned many documented 69 Camaros and at the present time still have a few. I am confident that the new owner will be pleased with his purchase. Thanks again and good luck! BB a69z4me
..I think it was a great deal....I'm sure the new owner will enjoy that Z... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

The price was pretty reasonable.
There were a few incorrect things with the car and the seller did say "not sure" a few times so first thing I would do if I bought it is grap the POP and check the major drivetrain just to make sure.
Still a very nice car in a color not often seen. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I just spoke with the previous owner of the 70 Z and he reassured me that he checked all the numbers on the engine, trans and rear before he bought it and that they did in fact match the protect-o-plate. However, as far as alt, starter, dist, carb etc., I did not check and didn't ask if he did. Thanks for the compliments on the car!

Love that colour. Those cars just need to be 4 speeds.

Not to take away from the sale of the car but I read his auction and if he had checked everything before he bought it and everything matched then why didn't he state the facts in the auction?? Why did he state he wasn't sure? Hmmm!
From the auction: [ QUOTE ]
TRANSMISSION: Appears to be a Turbo 400, however I am not sure and also not sure if it is original to the car. Headers block viewing access.
REAREND: Definately a 12 Bolt but not able to find code. Not sure exactly where to look.

And he told you he checked BEFORE he bought the car? How can you verify the parts against the POP if you don't know where to look or know what you are looking at?
I believe that if it was a fully verified car it would have done better at the end.
I am just saying that you need to check yourself when you get there.
Still a neat car.

I had a 3rd party look at this car for me and take pictures. The car needed a fair amount of work at a minimum. I asked for #'s many weeks ago and never rec'd them. At 22M it would be a very fair price IF the #'s matched but certainly not a bargain as the pictures might indicate.
