When did they stop building the 69 Corvettes? Seems like November is awefully late. Can't tell in the pic due to blur, but is that a '69 vette VIN stamped?

I think 69 Vettes were extremely long production due to a strike. The VIN stamping was ground off and someone stamped a new one on top of it. Here is the same pic. Maybe it will post better here. Anyone have any input on 69 Corvette production dates?

Wow, surprised the block went so cheap! At least it went to a regular customer who will probably pick the thing up.

Well, looks like the block will be up for sale again. The high bidder, who I have dealt with numerous times called me last night. He said he has been looking for a block for his 69 Vette project for a long time and this is perfect. Reluctantly, I asked him when his car was built and being a Ford nut he had no idea. Long story short, his car was built in March 69 and the block is back for sale. I will offer it here at the high bid price before it goes back on Ebay or I keep it.

Thanks again,

Jason

I missed the auction when it ran can you tell me the date of the block. I need it for a August 28th '69 built corvette. Also whats is it standard 30 or 60 over. Thanks, Rich.

Its .040 over. The date is too late you your car. It is a late october cast block.

OK, the block is back on the bay.
Member price is still the same if you tell me before too many bids get placed.

Hey Jason, I know I am new to the boards but if you are still willing to part with this block for $725 i can Western Union/Pay pal it to you immediately. I would need it shipped to St. Petersburg Florida, and would obviously pay for all shipping required. email me at [email protected] if interested.
