Mark, do you live in this area or were you in Kingston today? This morning the price was over $2.00 a gallon more than yesterday and was at about $7.00. Not aware of what happened here this afternoon, perhaps there was another huge jump?????

I hope they don't fabricate a grocery shortage. With GM having a truck plant in Texas, does this mean that truck prices will go through the roof too? Not likely. We filled up at the bargain price of $1.027 a litre. Sounds like Mr. Lightfoot and neighbours are getting gouged. I thought there were laws against this. Guess not. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I heard on the radio last night, that gouging could have been going on during these fuel price hikes. Investigators are currently checking out certain companies who jacked up their prices dramatically from day to day. If there was in fact gouging going on, then I hope these idiots get nailed!

It's funny how when the price of oil goes up, the next morning it's reflected at the pumps, but when it goes down it takes weeks to make a difference. When Katrina hit , the next day it went up and continued to go up since even though the refinery was up and running again with-in the week. Did something happen to all the refineries in north america?, don't they have stock piles set-up?. If that happened to any other buisness there is no way that you would get away with that!!

Oh you know we're just getting royally screwed with these price increases! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
I read where for gas to be $3/gallon,crude oil would have to be $95/barrel.This was written when oil was $65/barrel.
Who's screwing who here? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Anyways, regular was $2.85 here in Salinas this morning but will surely skyrocket soon http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

You Canadians shouldn't whine so much with the C$ where it is. There's always a price to pay... I bet a lot more cars will be going north from the Spring auctions this year.
High test here is GBP1.05/L. That's $2.12/L or $8.03/US Gal.

The guys mentioned theincreased number of Canadians at the Mecum Auction. Restoring our Canadian cars shouldn't be nearly so painful now as it was when our Dollars was 65 cents US. I'm sure not compalining. Glad I waited. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Something strange going on here. $90 a barrel oil and I saw gas at 88.9 cents a litre yesterday. Going down at the pumps for the time being.

Bookmark this site for the U.S. side of the border.
Gas Prices U.S. (http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_gastemperaturemap.aspx)
This is for the guys and gals in the Great White North.
Up North Gas Map (http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_can_gastemperaturemap.aspx)
The Canadian version only shows prices by areas. The US site shows a lot of the prices by the actual stations.
I filled up for 2.35/US gal. this morning. It may pay for me to fill a tanker up and head north.

Hard to imagine why people across the line(49th Parallel) worry about the price of gas when we pay $4.00 plus here on the Westcoast. There are still lots of humungus Ford F350's and Hummers in town, I can't imagine what their monthly gas bill must look like. My $70.00 fillup on the Nova still gets stretched over a couple of weeks.

The price of gas doesn't seem to be be slowing the traffic around here. I've never seen the roads as busy as they are this year. From the posts at the beginning of this thread, people should remember the gougers and boycott them out of business. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
