I am looking to hire a private individual with an enclosed trailer to move a car from Holland, Michigan to my home near Toronto, Ontario. According to Mapquest, one way trip is 362 miles. I am willing to pay $1,000 for the trip. Does anyone know someone who is trustworthy and for hire? Thanks, Mark

Enclosed Transport

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I retired four years ago and I have been transporting antiques and classics for myself and others in my retirement. I normally stay in the eastern and midwestern states because it just doesn't pay to haul one car 2000 or more miles.

I know Norm. He's delivered cars here, and I've bought parts from him. Very nice guy. You'd be in good hands with Norm.

This post is good timing. I need a Vette shipped from IN to PA. I just sent him an email. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Hope you have better luck getting a return email than I did. Perhaps he is out of town or something?

Mosport, I'm shipping the Buttnernut Yellow '67 Z home.

So what did you buy Gary?

Thanks Mark. It's a 1971. An older restoration but has only had 1500mi put on since it was done. All numbers match, has build sheet. Black leather int, AM-FM stereo, close ratio 4sp, 411 posi rear. No other options. The car still has the smog on it. It feels good to be a Corvette owner again. I'm coming off of a 10 year hiatus!

I just wanted to put in a good word for Norm, the gentleman mentioned in this thread. Also, I wanted to thank Tony for mentioning him. I contacted Norm on Sunday. He expedited the job and just delivered the car. For a very reasonable price. Very nice guy and very dependable. I would have no problem using him again in the future to haul another car. If any of you have any Q's about our dealings, let me know.

Great car, Gary. I'm happy for you, the LT1's are wonderful cars.
