If it was the Brown Recluse spider, consider yourself lucky.

I think I heard that 50% of the people that are bitten react to the bite. Many are fatal, most cause severe distruction. Not a good spider to mess with.

Been there, done that, Rick...not cool. Rotted a hole out of my calf, infection ran up my leg...had red vertical stripes running up and down my leg from the infection...when my leg started getting too sore to walk I figured it was time to see the doctor!

Rob,

My wife got bit by a brown recluse spider when we lived in Southern California. The local agency identified it as a brown recluse after I killed it with alcohol..they are normally found in the lower midwest states...so they were at a loss how it ended up in our yard.

My wife has still got the scars from the bite...nasty!

Here's what one looks like...

Huge red spot about the size of a half dollar. And a chunk of skin missing in the middle. It is just going away now. You were at the Fairfield to huh??

When that chunk of missing skin in the middle starts to get bigger, it is time to worry. They are NASTY spiders if that is what bit you.

i dont think this question has ever been addressed. is there a licensed description that describes what a SuperCar is? is it only a Chevrolet? or GM? obviously there are other breeds of SC's out there. the Twister Mach I's and Torinos come to mind. probally the most debatable of them is the Hurst SC/rambler and Hornet SC/360. these cars have SuperCar in the title of there names. they were purpose built (the SC/rambler was created for F Stock NHRA competition) musclecars. are they welcome at SCR9?

Belair62
12-11-2005, 07:37 AM
Wes..I don't think there is a licensed description or definition of what a Supercar is....this site is dedicated to the Chevrolet stuff as our homepage states... "Dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Chevrolet dealer
built Supercars and COPO cars." The club is made up of people who love these cars particularly but also love the other manufacturers Supercars...AMC is no exception...those SC/Ramblers are very cool..I've never even seen an SC/Hornet !!! We would welcome your SC/Rambler at the Reunion with us.Bring your racing helmet ! We plan on having quite a few rare non Chev cars there, as well as the most Chevrolet Supercars displayed under one roof ! Send Bruce (Xplantdad) some pics and a write up so we can feature it here too... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just checked the calendar of events at Gateway. The night before the SCR9 event they are going to have a 'slick tire test and tune'. Make sure to put something on your quarters to make getting rid of the rubber a little easier.
