For the eyes (with the help of Microsoft Word):
With the 1969 z/28 Camaros now bringing in excess of 60,000.00 dollars for a single 4 barrel version this leaves little opportunity for the general public to be able to purchase one of these cars before collectors swoop down and buy them to ad to their Million Dollar collections. An alternative to this problem is to look ahead at the muscle cars that are affordable today and purchase them as investments since they will surely follow the pace that for example, the 69 Camaro is setting. one such example is the stunning 1970 z/28 camaro I have listed below. This car without a doubt is already beginning to follow the path of higher value camaros. In the next year, if not in the next several months, you will see these 70 version muscle cars begin to take off. I have posted over 90 high resolution photos of this car so please be patient when waiting for them to download. It will be well worth your wait. This Camaro was a full frame off restoration a little over 2 years ago. The body has all original sheet metal with the exception of the nos gm rear quarters which were installed professionally. The Camaro’s arrow straight body was painted in its original hugger orange and white stripe color and shot in base coat clear coat. After being wet sanded and buffed, you can see by the pictures just how spectacular this paint came out. It has a mirror like finish. Without a doubt it blows away any factory paint. All date coded tinted glass was then installed along with all original trim and nos trim where needed. The front and rear bumpers were triple chrome plated and reinstalled. Front and rear spoilers were installed next along with the firestone wide oval tires that were mounted on factory z/28 wheels. These wheels have nos trim rings as well as very rare nos center caps. With the grill and badges all installed the exterior was complete I think you will agree this z/28 exterior is awesome. The black standard interior, as you can see, is in very good condition with no tears in the upholstery or door panels. Several items have been replaced in this interior including the door panels, seat covers and carpet. All of the gauges still work and this interior even has a nos ash tray. The odometer shows 90k but the true mileage is unknown. Miles since the restoration is approx. 500 miles. This interior has the optional tilt wheel, power steering, power disc brakes, gauge package and trunk light. Speaking of the trunk it is like new as you can see by the photos below it also has the correct spare and jack assembly. Look close at the door jambs since they are as slick as the exterior paint. Also notice the nos trunk rubber and nos door and roof rubber. When ever nos parts were available they were used on this restoration. Under the hood you will find and engine compartment detailed for show. The 350 cubic inch engine is original to this Z/28 carrying a block casting # 3970010, a casting date of A 15 0, engine id # V0212CTB as well as the VIN 10N516392. The cylinder heads are #3927186 and dated B70. The carb is # 4555 list. The distributor # is 1112019. The fan is # 3947772 and dated B70. The exhaust manifold #’s are left-3942527 and right-3946826. Last but not least is the alternator which is # 1100843. You can see that the correct smog is in place on this Z/28 as well as the original dual snorkel air filter. This engine compartment is still very impressive. As for the transmission, the original m21 four speed is long gone, but a date coded Muncie M21 just like the original is now in its place. The 12 bolt rear is original to this Z/28 carrying an id of COO 0215 G 1 which spins a set of 4:10 gears. As you can see, the original engine and rear remain with this car, with the trans being a date coded correct unit. The trim tag under the hood reads as follows: first line ST70 12487 NOR 235257 BDY. The second line reads TR 711 65 65 PNT. The third line reads 03A Z28.10 . Last on this incredible Z/28 is the undercarriage. While on the rotisserie, the floors were stripped and 2 repairs were professionally welded into place on the rear floor pans. These repairs you can see in the pictures below. Once the floors were finished, a factory red oxide was applied. The entire front and rear suspension were rebuilt or replaced as needed. All new brake lines were installed, as well as an all new Gardner exhaust system. You can see that every nut and bolt was restored on this beautiful 70 Z/28 camaro and it has remained very show worthy. The reserve on this car is very reasonable, whether you are looking at this car as an investment or as your new toy to take to the shows and cruise spots. If you are close enough to come and inspect this stunning car, feel free to do so or please send a third party to come and inspect it for you. Feel free to call 1-845-782-2108 or email me at
[email protected] with any and all questions. Now it is you turn to step up and bid. Good luck!!!!

Well it's not mine anymore but I imagine a legitimate offer would buy it...then you could spend the 1000+ on the alternator and make it better...and if you have one laying around you are ahead of the game ...if your car comes out as nice or nicer I would imagine it would be just as valuable...you may have more in it than that when you are done...paperwork is hard to come by for a car....if you are a paperwork guy then I guess this car isn't for you...if you are trying to figure out what yours will be worth when you complete it then I think you just have to wait and complete it...you should go see it with your people. Pictures don't even do the car justice. Don't we all wish we could buy cars for last years prices ? Better yet...5 years ago !

Rick,
I am happy for you that you have a '70 Z28. What makes mine worth the money to me it that if I don't get what I want for it or the market falls apart, I'll keep it and drive the *%^$ out of it.
The car is real, but has no paperwork and based on the info I have, prior owners have spent almost $40,000.00 in parts, many NOS and not including labor. Since it is now "my" car I reserve the right as to who may or may not purchase it.
Your opinion has been noted, but don't fret as you can not have it at any price. Go find another one. The M40 one on ebay is less.

I don't think the well is poisoned LV....people are just real critical ...if you look at this car you can see it's one of the good ones...I'm sure if Rick's people went to look at it they would agree...there are other restored 70's that sold n the general price range...then there are some that sold much cheaper but I'm sure they don't compare.Just looking at the cost of good parts for these now will give you some idea....I'm sure if someone made Steve a reasonable offer they would come to an agreement. I have never bought a car where the owner started out high and wheeled & dealed the car higher..yet! Knowing me I probably will someday

I am not here to get into a pi$$ing contest with anyone. Obviously I struck a nerve by the personal jab he gave me stating that I can not buy the car but I can not convince anyone to go look at a car at $50K without getting some answers first.
If you want to lose a sale because you think I am being over aggressive so be it. I wish all the luck selling it.
Rick H.
P.S. I never said the car was not real.

Your multiple jabs at the asking price were what caused these reactions. If you were a sincere potential buyer, maybe a private message to the seller would have worked better. To answer your question about ME, I never blast people over their asking price in a public forum.

I have seen this car and it is as nice as they come from body fit to paint and detail it was done right.. Theese days with 10k dollar paint jobs and the price of nos parts a guy could easily put 40k into restoring a 307 Camaro. Theese days if a guy wants a real car with real parts they are getting harder and harder to find. I truely think if he sells this car for what he is asking in a few months he could not find a replacement for what he sold it for. Its going to be the same old story in six months people saying that car was a deal I should have bought it.

I'll throw my two cents in , too. That Z is beautiful.
Rick, Bob (former owner of the Z in question) is an extremely "stand up" guy, as are all the others who posted positive things about this car.
I believe that I know where you were coming from...you just worded it the wrong way. Some people only buy documented cars, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If that's the most important thing to you about a car...then really early on you knew this car wasn't for you!
Then when somebody called you on the way you worded what you said and the price of the car with no docs...you got defensive. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Fairly early on in the post it was abundantly clear that the car didn't have docs...but you chose to revisit the price of the car and why it was supposedly worth 50K...you wanted an explanation for the 'high' price of the car.
What did you expect the owner of the car (Stefano) to do? His reaction was a normal reaction to being put on the defensive...plus, since he's the owner of the car...he can choose to sell it or not.
I agree...alot of headaches could have been avoided with all of this...if you would have used the PM method (PRIVATE MESSAGE)and kept this off the site. Stuff like this is the MAIN reason that I got out of this hobby 20 years ago.
They are just cars...get out there and enjoy them (It's really a blast, you know! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
