Hey guys Im dealing on a 70' Nova SS 396/350hp 4 speed car..Gold with a white top and gold bucket interior, console with guages, rallys, very correct car and all numbers matching, p-o-p and window sticker and still in original owners name and it has other misc. paper/reciepts also. The car has 33,xxx original miles, perfect original interior, 1 repaint, detailed in and out just a all around super car..Just trying to get a feel what its worth, the owner owes me money and wants me to take it as part payment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

I tend to think a little bit more... closer to $30,000 depending on overall condition... Good Luck -- Post some pictures when you get a chance!

I think at auction, it would be pushing close to 40K. Roger

Wasn't that nova just on ebay? Sam

Hard to put a price on a 70 SS Nova without seeing pictures, or better yet, checking it out in person. But since it is a very rare and unique color (both the exterior and interior), and if it's in really good condition, and is a #'s matching car, I would have to put a price of 35K on it. If the POP and window sticker turn out to be legit, then there would be a premium in my opinion, which might push it up to the 40k range.

Sam... You might be confused with the gold/black auto unrestored car that just on ebay. I think I can find the old link.

Look in the cars for sale section of this site. Jude has a 69 "project" BB Nova for $20,000..you do the math. $35k is very fair for a car like that. How many do you actually see for sale, especially with good docs and low mileage. If you don't want it let me know. Good luck.

Don't know if he sold it, just that it is listed for sale. Since so very few of these cars change hands the values are certainly up for discussion. I feel that a decent project car with most of the hard parts is definately worth 15-20k. Finished/restored L78 cars will easily bring 50k plus and more. Those with special features and super docs bring what ever the traffic will bear.

I believe a properly restored L78 Nova with doc's would be priced at $65K +.

You won't get any argument from me, that's what I had in mind for the "real" cars. Hagerty will certainly appreciate the extra value...

I remember that car from a while back. Seemed like a decent unit, had some odds and ends that needed attention, but had the makings of a good car. I think a few guys may have been tough on this car, me included http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif If it is now for sale in the 40k range it might make a good value for someone. Hopefully it found a good home. Who would have ever thought Novas would be worth so much. Bought my first L78 Nova in 1973 and paid $1400...man those were the days!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
