1970 RS/Z28 Camaro - GM documented. Car is mint and fast. No rust. Not correct but the real thing. Silver with black interior. A steal at $25,000 1-519-820-7931. Call for pics or more info.

Hi Hylton, I might make a few suggestions on these cars you are listing.

1) - You unfortunately have no email address listed in your profile. A lot of people, like myself, prefer to make initial inquiries via that medium and then eventually get to the telephone calls if required.

2) - Even if you were able to post just one or two pictures would be a help.

3) - Your profile indicates your location as "Ottawa", but the phone number you list is in "Western Ontario". Where are these cars located?

Just a thought.

Also what does "not correct but the real thing mean." Nice color, post some pics. From the descriptions can we assume all the cars you posted are not documented? Hint, these guys here are very, very clever. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

"What does not correct but the real thing mean ?"

It means car is a real RS/Z28 but not original drivetrain or correct color. The car was originally Hugger Orange I think. Yes it has docs.

Don't try to read more than what I actually post. No the 72 Dart and the 73 6 cylinder Camaro is not documented http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If you post a desireable car for sale with little to no real information, interested parties will automatically begin attempting to read more into what you've actually posted because they're curious and interested. They're also frustrated because of the lack of solid information.

If you drop a little blood into a school of sharks they will "read into" that little drop of blood as meaning something potentially bigger and more desireable.

I don't think anyone was/is busting your chops, they just want more information and they want it quickly. Write a for sale ad as if you were in the market for the car you are selling.

That's what I assumed Hylton, thanks for the clarification. By the way, where are the cars located?

Thanks for the advice guys. Unfortunately I cannot give you anymore info than what I posted. The cars are in Guelph Ontario which is about 45 minutes from Buffalo, NY.

I meant no disrespect. But I would think if a person is serious about selling something they would market it as to give buyers something to chew on. IMO.

My following comment regards internet sales in general and NOT this 70 Z-28 in particular.......

Very few people know how, or care to market cars with FULL disclosure facts and pictures on the internet.....so then ineviditably the ad/posting turns into a jousting event with one party or another "attacking" or defending........
I'm sure in most cases its not intentional, but people using this NEW medium called the internet to market expensive products, just are being unreasonable with there LACK of DETAILS, PICTURES and just plain ole honesty...what a concept.....

Wow! Talk about a highjack - advertise that you know of a car for sale, give people the contact info so they can find out for themselves what the car is all about and people somehow think I should disclose a cars full history in an ad.

In any event, this is an interesting conversation so I might as well put my 2 cents in. I have to disagree with anyone who believes that just because you are using "the internet" as your medium of choice to advertise something for sale that full disclosure should be made at that point. Just because someone posts a small ad does not mean that they are hiding anything whatsoever.

The point Chuck has made above has merit when someone is expected to make a commitment online. Full disclosure should be made because you are legally buying the product at that point. Ebay, Rick's 1st gen and other online stores are an example of that.

This is just an ad that may or may not interest someone. Surely people will take the initiative and pick up the phone if they are seriously interested in something? Don't people think that contacting someone personally is the only way to really find out about the item which is for sale?

Let's take my first post in this thread as an example - If I took it word for word and posted the ad in The Chicago Sun Times, nobody here would take issue. My conclusion is that people are either paranoid or just plain lazy.

No offence taken guys because I understand we are just talking opinions and just so everyone is on the same page as to where I am coming from -

You know Bob, I have never responded to everything you post but having read most of everything you have posted in the last few years, you and I have rarely ever disagreed.

You should read the post on the 396 car I have for sale here. I state in the ad that the car has no docs so could be a clone and that the car has had a full frame resto and some guy twists those 2 sentences to insinuate that I am somehow misleading people. Incredible!

Gotcha...my point was most people are now paranoid and lazy...still have to talk to the people selling the car...can't get every ounce of info in an ad http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I agree Bob, you really need to listen carefully to people when you ask the questions and more importantly get to the seller like you said http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Exactly Mike! I am amazed at how many people will buy a car online without actually talking to the owner, let alone seeing the car in person!

[/ QUOTE ]Hylton, I think you have read to much into my response regarding your 396 car. I never insinuated that you are misleading people. Cars with out docs trade hands all the time, no problem. But I feel if a car has just had a frame off resto the owner/seller should know if there car is a clone or not.

I have to add my .02 too. One reason some people flip out when there are no pictures is because some just want the pretty pictures and when there are some, they will rip it to shreds for laughs. The only way to buy a car is in person. So get off the couch and pick up the phone.
