It may look like "Sandlin" (I don't know) but Velocity is the only Yellow you can order a Z06 in. I know this because that car is identical to the one I ordered and am waiting for. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Darren was referring to Steve Sandlin...a member of this site who also ordered a yellow Z06. He should have it by now...or soon..eh, Steve? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

0-60 in 3.9 sec. never leaving 1st gear sounds pretty awesome. I'll bet that will be one of the best selling crate engines of all time, ? if affordable? Word has it that it is indestuctible to most drivers. I guess all have their limits, we'll see. I hope it does better than the Ram jet ZL1 crate motor, still a lot of those around at a discount. Let us know Steve or let's get Mikey to try it!

Hard to find? Give me a break. And those Viper headlights are disgusting for a Vette purist.

It's not so much that I mind the exposed lights but it's the boy-racer chrome and body-colored inserts that look so un-Corvette like.

What's wrong w/ the ZL1 crate motor and what kinda discount price can you get one for?

Whatever. But then again, I'm not a "purist" for any car, in fact I consider myself an anti-purist http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It's a beautiful car. There have been non-popup headlights available for years... including the L-88 race cars and the C5-R (probably for the C4 too, but I don't pay any attention to those).

We pick up the Cavalier in Boston tomorrow, then the Vette on Saturday in Buffalo...back in LV on Tuesday. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

Interesting comparison.

I work for Ford (I know,...but it pays the bills http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif)and we have a Centennial White w/Blue stripes(a $5K option and they are about 1/4" off on the front http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif)at our passenger car dealership.Suggested MSRP is $155,845 and invoice is $144,207.30.I believe we have this car marked at $255K and the only reason why it's here so late is because of the delays with the front suspension recalls that Ford had early on before they went in-house with the forged A-arms.

For less than 1/2 the price (MSRP for MSRP),the '06 Z06 has to be the best value on the planet and maybe best ever(?)musclecar ever made. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I can't wait to see what they come up with next!

No Bruce, I wouldn't refer to the Chevy Cavalier as a race car so much as a price conscious, gas miserly, compact with exceptional sporty looks and neck snapping front seat release levers. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
