I WAS WALKING THRU SPRING CARLISLE THIS PAST APRIL WONDERING WHERE ALL THE GOOD CARS ARE HIDING THESE DAYS. I WALKED THE ENTIRE FAIRGROUNDS AND WITHIN A STONE THROW AWAY FROM MY CAR CORRAL SPOT WAS THIS 67 GTO PICTURED BELOW.

I WALKED AROUND THE CAR AND WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE CONDITION OF THIS VEHICLE. TEXAS RUST FREE ORIGINAL SHEET METAL, FULL #'S MATCHING DRIVE TRAIN, OPTIONS INCLUDE 400 4 BBL, P/S, FACTORY COLD A/C, 4 SPEED, RALLY GAUGES, WOOD WHEEL, CONSOLE, AM/FM RADIO, F+R SPEAKER, AND RALLY WHEELS.

CAR WAS SOLD NEW OUT OF LEO JARNAGIN PONTIAC IN FORT WORTH TEXAS. I SAID TO MYSELF THIS WOULD BE AN AWESOME CAR TO ENJOY FOR THE SUMMER. I PURCHASED THE CAR AND DROVE IT TO MY CAR CORRAL SPOT. I AM WIPING THE CAR DOWN AND AM GETTING BOMBARDED WITH QUESTIONS, HOW MUCH, WHERE WAS THIS CAR HIDING, ETC... I WAS TELLING PEOPLE I BOUGHT IT TO BRING HOME. A FRIEND OF MINE COMES UP TO ME AND PULLS ME ASIDE AND TELLS ME HE WANTS THE CAR. HE MAKES ME AN OFFER AND I ACCEPTED WITH THE UNDERSTANDING I CAN HAVE 1ST SHOT AT BUYING IT BACK. NEEDLESS TO SAY I OWNED THE CAR FOR 20 MINUTES.

2 MONTHS GO BY AND ANOTHER FRIEND OF MINE CONS ME INTO SELLING HIM MY LOW MILEAGE 69 Z/28 THAT I WAS USING FOR THE SUMMER. { I GOT SOME FRIENDS HUH ??} ONCE THAT LEFT I NEEDED A CAR FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SUMMER. I CALL UP MY FRIEND AND TOLD HIM I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THE GTO BACK AS I WANTED A DRIVER FOR THE SUMMER LIKE I INTENDED. HE SAID I CAUGHT HIM AT A GOOD TIME AS HE NEEDED SOME SPACE IN THE GARAGE.

THE CAR IS AWESOME IN EVERY WAY, EVERYTHING WORKS, THE A/C IS ICE COLD AND IS A PLEASURE TO DRIVE. THANKS TO GEORGE LYONS FOR INITIALLY SELLING ME THE CAR AND TO JIM FROM MWCLASSIC FOR THE AWESOME PICS BELOW. ENJOY!!

Congrats on another stand up car Kenny!
I have noticed the silver canister next to the a/c condencer on Pontiacs... what a/c part is it?

That cannister is the drier for the A/C. some call it the accumulator but its the same thing. On my 67 Chevell the drier was under the fender to the right of the battery. Don't know why PMD mounted it there. Great Car!!
