On Speed last night...a '69 Camaro Z/28,'70 Boss 302,'70 Challenger T/A,Javelin (didn't catch the year),and an vintage east coast '69 Camaro SCCA T/A car (University of Pittsburg?)ran 1/4 mile times as well as braking and road course times against each other for best times. The street Z/28 took top overall spot closely followed by the Boss 302...but then we already knew that, didn't we? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

The vintage T/A car supposedly had a lot of input at the time from Roger Penske, hence the Blue w/Yellow wheel color combination.

I tell you, that Peter Klutt guy from Dream Car Garage can't drive worth a s**t!The guy just is not smooth. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

The good thing about this show was that it was on Speed and it wasn't about NASCAR. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gifI have had several conversations with Craig Jackson from B-J about ponycar/musclecar shows on Speed and spoke at length with Vic Edelbrock at this years Historic Races in Monterey regarding a vintage T/A series...looks like it may be a reality in 2006.

Is it just me or is anyone sick with the 24/7 NASCAR coverage on Speed? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gifI'm hoping that this is just the start of many more musclecar-type shows from Speed in the future. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

John, if memory recalls, when Speedvision sold and it became Speed Channel, the plan was to eventually transition it into an "all NASCAR, all the time" channel...

Is that what we really want? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

If the powers that be @ NASCAR want to flood the airwave 24/7,why don't they have the NASCAR network and show varied, creative, historic important musclecar featured programming on Speed...like we all wouldn't watch that? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif
