View Full Version : BB Nova z bar 1970
Does anyone know if there is a part number stamped in the z bar? If there is, anyone know what the number is? Does anyone have one they could measure for length for me? Many thanks...Tony

I know my BB Camaro Z bar is roughly 9.5" long. I believe the small blocks were around 9" long since the BB was offset to the passenger side for exhaust manifold clearance.

The part number was not stamped on the bar. It is no longer available from GM. They sold the rights and it is repoped. If you change from a small block to big block Zbar. You will need to change the other parts going to the fork. Chevy 2 only and others sell a change over kit. Earl
Thank you guys for the answers.
Earl..Do you know if the repops are a decent quality part?

Check with the folks at National Nostalgic Nova. They may have an original used setup or they can provide a quality reproduction one. Call them at 717-252-4192.

Tony,
I have the repop Zbar in my 69 SS Nova. The fit and look is good. The kit is a good way to get all the parts you will need for SBC to BBC conversion. If you run a 4spd. You will need to change the crossmember as well. Still waiting for mine. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif Earl
