Were they not internally regulated in 1979? He says his is externally regulated. Weird.
I found a cross reference for alternators and 1103076 is internally regulated so it is a 1979 alternator.

I thought the internal regulated alternators used the wide, narrow harness plug??
This one has the old square plug.

Maybe my mind is starting to fade?? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
I can't remember anything newer than `75-ish on up using this style plug.
Maybe it's a cobbled rebuilder with the new front 1/2 and an old rear 1/2? (is that even possible?)
