Not sure of which ones had them but off the top of my head we know the 50 that Gibb ordered did not have them. The other 19 were ordered all kinds of ways..

We know that ZL1 #3 (one of Charley's old cars) had the rally wheels originally...it was a double copo - 15" rims (is "double" the politically correct term now-days?...)
Just wondering because I thought they all came with those little dog bowl hubcaps. I saw the list today of all 69 with the color & options that each came with. I also had forgotten that the front and rear spoilers were optional. The rallys were $35.xx list, $25.xx dealer cost.
4 speed seemed a little high at $195.xx as an option.

There were 10 ZL1's ordered with Rally Wheels.
The 3 cars that were "double" COPO's came standard with them as part of the Sports Car Conversion. These were the #3, #65 & #69 cars. The COPO 9737 included 15x7 Rallys.
The others were cars #51, 53, 58, 59, 64, 66, and 68.
They had RPO 5ZJ7 14x7" Rallys added to the build order.

Interesting stuff! I wonder how GM calibrated the speedometer for different size wheels and tires?

Built or delivered? When #35 was sold- NEW -on Sept 19 1970 Sutlif Chervolet had to add rally wheels and rear spoiler for Doug Lesman to buy the car.

Correct. The Zl-1 was and is the only car Chevy ever bought back for redistribution to other dealers. Like #35 some of the ZL-1's had significant addition or removal of equipment just like that to sport them up or to strip them down- so in the end the dealer could find a buyer for these ultra expensive cars.
