Anyone have an idea of how many L-36 427's were placed in the full size cars in 67. In Canada GM only made 2,025 2DR 67 Biscaynes. What maybe 25-50 were L-36's up here???? How many 67 2DR L-36 Biscaynes have you guys seen out there over the years with there original drive trains??? Thanks 2qwik2c.

Hello there,

Before buying "Canadian Gold" 2 months ago, I found that GM Canada only built 41 L36/M40 cars @ the Oshawa plant in 1967.

Attached is a pic from yesterday before taking them both out for one last spin before the cold sets in. MAN.....nothing get me going like the roar and torque on a BB Chevy......especially the Yellow "animal" God, the car is RUDE!! lolololol

Hope this info might help.

Don't know but there is one down here. Saw it at a show earlier this year. Original drivetrain and incredibly documented. A real sleeper.

I wish this thread was about Oshawa-built 1967 327 Impalas since Iīm going to show you my car with its "optional" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif hood. I believe it left the factory with a 275 hp 327,PG trans, posi 12-bolt with 3.08 gears, power steering, power front disc-brakes with 15x6" ralley wheels and of course a rear window defroster.

Yes, black and blue from the factory.
I like sleepers. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Itīs got a 300 hp 350 with a 4-bolt main #010 block in it right now, but I have a 425 hp 454 waiting. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
And I put another set of rallyes on it a couple of weeks ago, 9" wide in the rear. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/burnout.gif

That Gold Impala is one very http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif ride-----------There was a metallic blue one that hung around our local drive-in back in the day----The car pulled some nice hole shots on a few surprised guys---------

I used to be a stick-shift guy. But my COPO changed that, so Iīll keep the auto. If the 454 goes in, it will be with another auto trans.
I really like that gold car to. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Talking about metallic blue cars, the day before I left for the Reunion I bought a new hood from I guy not far from Anderstorp. He had a blue SS427 coupe sitting in the back of his shop with the heads off. He bought it in California mabye 15 years ago. It seemed to be a matching numbers car.

Love those big Chevys! . Being an Oshawa car, don't you have the Canadian Vintage Service documents to confirm the options as shipped? .

Always looking for any more info on my Oshawa built L35/M40 RCMP Ghost car 2Dr. Sdn. . Trim tag notes RED TAG RCMP and Special Paint w/ 140 speedo, HD Drums/Dog dish caps, Radio delete etc. ~ Pete
