njsteve, don't feel left out. At least they said some nice things about your car. If you ever run out of things to do, your can detail my car.

It's nice to be loved...I just wish he had $$$. I do remember the auto writer guy who was hanging around the auction area taking closeup photos of all the cars' VINs and auction entry info and diligently taking notes on the action results (or lack thereof) at the Rand-Workman Auction on 9/11. I thought he worked for Old Car Price Guide or one of those magazines. Where did you find this clipping, in the new Hemmings Muscle Machines? If so, they should remember the car, they did feature on it a year ago!

Both clippings are from the new Hemmings Muscle Machines.
I got my copy in the mail yesterday.

Got my copy today. From what I read, it sounds like he hated all the cars (but mine). He sure didnt seem to be very "up" on current pricing or even very knowledgable about the cars. He thought the L89 ragtop was just a regular Camaro convertible. Some of his Hemi commentary was just plain bizarre. He also didn't realize that sellers are not going to accept a bid below their reserve when they are going to have to get hit with a 9% commission. So an $83,000 high bid meant I would have gotten $75,000 for it.

They are paid to make bold, decisive statements that make them sound like they actually know what they are talking about and get readers to hang on their words (circulation). Don't give his commentary a second thought. It is a waste of your time.
