I recently read a thread on a resto 68 Camaro L78
and the heading was (restoring my L78 COPO Camaro)

Are the 68 Camaros L78 COPO camaros??

Some were ordered by Yenko with the COPO# 9737.

...and were not converted...I think Enio45 here has one ...

9737 by the way is the sports car conversion which included larger front sway bar, 140 mph speedometer, heat treated rear axle gears and some people say a larger carb (So Don only need to purchase L72 short blocks to complete the conversion.) Just drop the original heads, intake and carb right on the L72 short block, drop it in the car and go to ride.

that this subject was discussed a while ago and now I know why a 68 Camaro L78 is called a COPO.

Yes I do!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif 1 of 6 and only 2 we know of have survived to date!! Tom Billigan's that was in Muscle Car review and mine currently under resto.
