The car is one of 444 L79 A/C coupes built in '67. It also has PW, PS, AM/FM and a 3.70 posi rear axle. With just 58,000 original miles, it still retains its original piant, interior, drivetrain and chassis - all unrestored. The tank sticker is still in place and I got the POP, owner's manual, trim ring and radio cars with it. The carpets need a good cleaning, but otherwise she is just about ready for the road http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

Thanks Sam...the C60 refers to the Air Conditioning. I sent a bunch of better quality pics to Bruce and he will post them in the members ride section in Jan. With the file size restriction, it's tough to really show the quality of the car here.

Forgot to mention that the wheels are not original. The guy I bought it from bought the car in 1970 and it had a set of Cragars on it. He just recently swapped them out for the '66 style knock-offs. The original spare is in the tub and has never been down. It's a rally wheel with a Uniroyal Laredo white wall. I'm going with a set of rallys with white walls and a set of bolt-ons with red-lines http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I assume you mean cards... Does that mean it originally had rally wheels and the turbine wheels were added? Nice color combo.

Thanks guys. Yeah Joe, I meant cards not cars http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif However, the owner did send along two blue Corvette diecasts for my kids and they were just thrilled with that http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif Here is a pic of the original wheel/tire combo. I am going with a set of those and a set of the '67 style bolt-on aluminum wheels (they don't have the spinner like the earlier ones) with red-lines and will change them up every once in a while since I like both looks. BTW, this is the Jay Kline car that I posted about a few weeks ago.
Thanks Dan. I'll decide about showing it or not once I get it cleaned up. My friend wants me to bring it to the Michigan chapter meet in the Spring and I may do that if I can get a truck and trailer lined up.
Thanks Gary. Norm delivered the car for me. Super nice guy and I would use his services again. Thanks for the recommendation.
Will do Bruce. If the weather is nice this weekend, I'll get it outside for a few better shots. If there is anything in particular someone would like to see, please let me know.
That has to be one of the most beautiful color combinations ever made. The car will look nice with the rally wheels and redlines. I'm one of the few that prefer rally wheels over the very expensive bolt on '67 wheels. The good news is that the value of the (repro) knock-off wheels and tires should get you into a set of rally wheels and repro redlines. Nice new trim rings can be bought for about $100 for four unless you go for the original ones. Those can get pricey.
Very nice, well optioned Corvette. Feel free to post more pictures.

Thanks Tim. I'm one of the few who agree with you and think that the rally wheels look better, and especially with red-lines http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Thanks Doug. That's the car I told you about last week. Maybe we can work out a little "trade" one day http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I thought the inside of that trailer looked familiar Mark. I'm glad he worked out for you. I wish Norm and I would have had more time to chat. Interesting fellow.

Yeah Gary, he's a very cool guy that has been around the block a few times...
Thanks for the offer Enio, but I really like this one. Might consider doing something on a '67 Z, '70 LS6, '67 L36 Corvette, or a '70 Deuce...their at the top of my Christmas list...but I'd rather buy one outright and keep this car. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Zedder, does the trim ring card you referred to look like this? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ORIGINAL-GM-67-69-Camaro-Corvette-Nova-YENKO-info-card_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ10076QQitemZ459478 6105QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)
I found this in a box of old stuff i bought, and noticed the date was 9-23-66, which is just about the time the rally wheels were first introduced... not sure if there was a revised edition to this card later on, or if they were all printed with the 1966 date on the bottom... I have another original somewhere that i know came out of a 69 Camaro, but i can't find it right now to compare.

Thanks Dave...good luck with yours. I'd love to get a silver L36 coupe next http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Camarojoe: Yes, that is the same as mine and all of the others. They only made one version and that is the correct date. Paragon repops them for $3.00, but the Corvette boys love the originals!

Thanks Joe and Rich http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
Rich, A guy with a '67 Z ex-TA racer called me last week looking for a good restorer to bring it back to street trim (I told him he was nuts, but that's what he wants to do). I gave him your name and number. Let me know if he calls http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

CONGRATS. 67 L-79'S are one of the best Corvettes ever made.I have owned a few and never had any problems with them. Zora and the gang had all the bugs worked out by 67.
