Tomorrow, December 12 marks the 90th birthday of the Chairman of the Board. He was a part of the fabric of American music for 7 decades. I can't think of any words to say about him that haven't been spoken. The holiday season always seems better when I hear one of his yuletide melodies. Happy 90th Francis, and many more!!

He was a big time "Lady's Man" in his younger years!

Gee, I wonder if she could even see him there in the doorway with her field of view obscured like that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Ring-a-ding-ding baby!

"I got chunks of guys like you in my stool!" -Phil Hartman as Sinatra on Saturday Night Live yelling at Sting, who was impersonating Billy Idol.

JMO, but something strikes me as strange about wishing Happy Birthday to a guy that died 7 years ago.
No doubt that he was a giant in the entertainment world, http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif but isn't it more customary to raise a toast on the anniversary of his passing? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

In our house Frank is alive and kicking and doing well. You can call it an anniversary or remembrance if you like, that's your call. He has always been a part of our world and lives on through his music and films. Besides, we celebrate Washington and Lincoln's birthdays and they passed on long ago. Just finished watching "Some Came Running" with Deano and Shirley McClaine. TCM featured Sinatra today on their movie channel.

Gonna have a Jack Daniels now to toast the day!!

Here's to you Francis http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
