I know that this is not what the seller claims, but what is it from? I was thinking maybe a BB 70's Corvette?

"This is a rare find and would be that perfect X-mas gift for the car inthusiest."
Yeah, since it won't be right for anything you have, might as well give it away as a "gift" to the "inthusiest" on your list ...I have no idea what it is for, but it says "no surprises" so it must be real...It also doesn't say its a repro, I think I'll bid about 1500.00. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That looks like a Pontiac air cleaner to me. Anybody?
It looks like a 1969-70 Pontiac GTO 400/350HP w/o Raim Air hood.
It should have a chrome top that fits to the edge then.

That base also came on other early 70's 455 cars such as Grand Prixs and GTOs. These will go for much less, unless of course someone throws a small lid on it and calls it something else http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
